Katlyn Chookagian vs “Lucky” Lauren Murphy

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of jabs and Chookagian threw quick one-twos. She followed with an uppercut as Murphy clinched with her against the cage. The fighters separated and Murphy landed two right hands. She pressed forward with a three-punch flurry and Chookagian replied with a jab-uppercut combo. Quick kicks were exchanged and Chookagian landed stiff jabs. She scored with kicks to the body and faked a takedown late in the close round. 10-9 Chookagian.

Round 2:
Chookagian opened round two with more jabs and quick one-twos, but Murphy closed the distance and took her down. Chookagian looked to set up a submission from her back and Murphy struck with short hammerfists from the top. She pressed Chookagian against the base of the cage and punched to the body and head. She continued to land punches from the top until the end of the round. 10-9 Murphy.

Round 3:
Chookagian pawed out with jabs and an uppercut in the final round as she circled on the outside. She set up right hands with her jabs until Murphy rushed in with a lunging three-punch flurry. Chookagian landed a knee and an overhand right. Murphy landed jabs of her own, but Chookagian connected with the crisper strikes. A cut opened beside Murphy’s left eye and the fighters battled for position in a clinch. Chookagian landed a huge knee as Murphy shot in for a takedown and she followed with elbows to the temple. 10-9 Chookagian.

Winner: Katlyn Chookagian by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 8-0-0.

“Smile’n” Sam Alvey vs Eric “Zebrinha” Spicely

Round 1:
Spicely clinched in search of a takedown early on, but Alvey broke free and landed four lead right hooks that briefly dropped Spicely. He returned to his feet and tried to pull Alvey to the mat with a leglock attempt. Alvey avoided danger and the fighters battled in another clinch. When Spicely dropped levels, Alvey trapped him in a tight standing guillotine choke. Spicely could not escape and tapped out.

Winner: Sam Alvey by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 2:43 of round one. He improves to 27-8-0, 1 NC.

Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey vs Cristina “Barbie” Stanciu

Round 1:
Hard punches were exchanged early on and Stanciu landed a nice leg kick, but Casey took her down into mount. She landed elbows from the top until Stanciu kicked her off and stood up. Casey scored another easy takedown and landed more elbows while passing to mount. Stanciu covered up and Casey dropped elbows until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Cortney Casey by TKO (Elbows) at 2:36 of round one. She improves to 5-3-0.

Undercard Fights:

– Scott “Hot Sauce” Holtzman defeated Cody “The Fist” Pfister by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-1-0 with the win.

– Rani Yahya defeated Matthew Lopez by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 4:19 of round three. He improves to 22-8-0, 1 NC with the win.

– Alex “The Spartan” Nicholson defeated Devin “Brown Bear” Clark by KO (Punch) at 4:57 of round one. He improves to 7-2-0 with the win.
