Sara McMann vs Jessica “Evil” Eye

Round 1:
The fighters circled in the opening minute and Eye landed a counter combination. McMann attempted a takedown and Eye stuffed it. McMann threw knees to the body in a clinch, but little transpired and referee John McCarthy called for a break. McMann narrowly missed with a right hand and connected with a knee to the body. Almost nothing transpired in the final 90 seconds. 10-9 McMann due to control.

Round 2:
McMann opened round two with right hooks and Eye countered with a one-two. McMann shot in with a sloppy takedown and Eye easily avoided being taken down. McMann scored with a hard right hand and she finally got Eye down. McMann struck from the top and Eye looked to set up an armbar. She briefly switched to a gogoplata position, but McMann pulled her head free and transitioned to Eye’s back. McMann finished the round by landing punches and knees to the body. 10-9 McMann.

Round 3:
The final round began with an exchange of jabs, but neither fighter committed to any sustained offence until McMann shot in and took Eye down. She took Eye’s back and landed powerful hammerfists from side control. McMann moved to Eye’s back again and pulled her head down to the mat. She locked on a North-South choke that had Eye in some trouble, but Eye managed to escape and McMann ended the round on top as both women threw punches at the bell. 10-9 McMann.

Winner: Sara McMann by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 9-3-0.

 

Abel “Killa” Trujillo vs Jordan “All Day” Rinaldi

Round 1:
Punches were exchanged in the early goings and Trujillo landed a nice combination. He tripped Rinaldi to the mat, but Rinaldi looked to set up an armbar from the bottom and he kicked Trujillo off. Back on the feet, Rinaldi landed left hooks and he tried for a takedown. Trujillo fired back with a hard right hand that led to an exchange of power punches. Rinaldi scored with a body kick and a lead left hook before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Trujillo.

Round 2:
Trujillo caught a kick and took Rinaldi down in the second round, but Rinaldi locked on a tight armbar from the bottom. Trujillo tried to pull his arm free, but Rinaldi maintained his grip on the arm. Trujillo eventually escaped to his feet and Rinaldi took his back. He dragged Trujillo down and worked to set up a rear-naked choke. Rinaldi flattened Trujillo out while attempting chokes, but Trujillo defended. Rinaldi transitioned to an armbar in the final five seconds. 10-9 Rinaldi.

Round 3:
Rinaldi attempted a takedown right away in round three, but Trujillo defended with a front headlock. Rinaldi continued to pursue a takedown and he briefly hopped on Trujillo’s back. Trujillo broke free and he countered a jab-cross combo from Rinaldi with a right hook. Rinaldi slowed down and Trujillo cracked him with lead left hands. Rinaldi gave up an easy takedown and Trujillo threw short strikes from the top. Rinaldi attempted a triangle choke from his back and the fight returned to the feet. 10-9 Trujillo.

Winner: Abel Trujillo by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 15-6-0, 1 NC.

 

Jake “The Prototype” Collier vs Alberto Emiliano “Uda” Pereira

Round 1:
Pereira rocked Collier with punches early on and followed with a knee that appeared to break Collier’s nose. Collier turned away and began to bleed heavily from his damaged nose, but he stayed on his feet and the fighters traded strikes in a clinch. Pereira got Collier down once, but Collier returned to his feet and he secured a takedown into half-guard. He gave up position in a scramble and Pereira took his back. The round ended with Pereira on top as Collier attempted a heel hook. 10-9 Pereira.

Round 2:
Collier clinched in round two and he tried to elevate Pereira for a slam takedown. Pereira stayed on his feet, but Collier hurt him with a spinning kick to the body. He backed Pereira up with punches and landed a spinning back kick to the liver. Pereira collapsed to the mat and Collier landed follow-up punches until the bout was stopped.

Winner: Jake Collier by TKO (Spinning Back Kick & Punches) at 1:06 of round two. He improves to 10-3-0.

 

Erik “New Breed” Koch vs Shane “Shaolin” Campbell

Round 1:
Hard leg kicks were exchanged in the opening minute and Koch scored with quick punching flurries. Campbell landed more kicks to the inside of Koch’s leg, but Koch stunned him with a combination and a head kick. The fighters clinched against the cage and Koch attempted a takedown, but Campbell stayed on his feet and backed Koch up with a body kick. Another clinch followed and Campbell landed an elbow over the top. Koch reversed a trip attempt and wound up in Campbell’s guard. Campbell stood and Koch dragged him down again. He took Campbell’s back before the bell. 10-9 Koch.

Round 2:
Koch scored a takedown early in round two and he worked to set up an arm-triangle choke from half-guard. Campbell defended, but Koch continued to try for the choke. Campbell scrambled and tried to stand up, but Koch took his back and he locked on a tight rear-naked choke. A dejected Campbell tapped out almost immediately.

Winner: Erik Koch by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:02 of round two. He improves to 15-4-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Bryan “Kid Lightning” Caraway defeated Aljamain “Funk Master” Sterling by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 21-7-0 with the win.

– Adam “The Prototype” Milstead defeated Chris de la Rocha by TKO (Punches) at 4:01 of round two. He improves to 8-1-0 with the win.
