Henry “The Messenger” Cejudo vs Chico “King” Camus

Round 1:
Cejudo clinched following an early exchange of punches and he threw knees to the thighs. Camus broke free and cracked him with a hard right hand. Camus stuffed a takedown and the fighters traded jabs. Cejudo clinched again, but Camus circled out and both men landed left hooks. A brief exchange of knees followed in the clinch until referee Mario Yamasaki called for a break. Cejudo caught a kick and tried for a takedown, but Camus stayed on his feet. Cejudo slammed him down for a split second before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Cejudo, barely.

Round 2:
Cejudo punched his way into more clinches in the second round, but he was unable to get Camus down. Cejudo landed a quick flurry and he backed Camus up against the cage again. Camus countered with an elbow and circled away from the clinch. He scored with a crisp combination and Cejudo fired back with an uppercut and a left hook. 10-9 Cejudo.

Round 3:
Time was called early in the final round after Camus was poked in the eye. Action resumed and Cejudo threw knees to the thighs and body in a clinch. He followed with a combination and Camus circled away. A series of punches and a kick to the body scored for Cejudo, who fought off a takedown attempt from Camus. In the final minute, Cejudo countered a kick-punch combo from Camus by tripping him to the mat. He threw punches from the top and Camus stood up just as time expired. 10-9 Cejudo.

Winner: Henry Cejudo by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-0-0.

 

Efrain “Hecho en México” Escudero vs Drew Dober

Round 1:
Escudero took advantage of an early slip from Dober by locking on a tight standing guillotine choke as Dober got back to his feet. Dober fought the choke and tried to escape, but he was eventually forced to submit.

Winner: Efrain Escudero by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 0:54 of round one. He improves to 24-9-0.

 

Patrick “The Animal” Williams vs Alejandro “Diablito” Perez

Round 1:
Williams rocked Perez with an uppercut and dropped him with a lunging right hook in the opening seconds of the fight. Perez stood and Williams immediately trapped him in a power guillotine choke. Perez could not escape and he was choked unconscious within seconds.

Winner: Patrick Williams by Technical Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 0:23 of round one. He improves to 8-4-0.

 

Johnny “Hollywood” Case vs Francisco “Sitkayan” Trevino

Round 1:
Case opened the action with punch-kick combos and he followed with uppercuts after catching a body kick. More kicks and right hands scored for Case, who kept Trevino on the defensive. Two more uppercuts snapped Trevino’s head back and time was called after Case was poked badly in the left eye. Action eventually resumed after a lengthy break and Case took Trevino down. Trevino swept, but Case used a guillotine choke to reverse back into top position. Trevino attacked with an armbar at the bell. 10-9 Case.

Round 2:
Case flurried with punches and followed with more body kicks in round two. He took Trevino down and moved to side control, then took Trevino’s back in search of a rear-naked choke. A scrambled ensued and Case attempted a power guillotine choke, but Trevino escaped and he wound up on top. Trevino threw knees to the body as Case battled back to his feet. Case stuffed a late takedown and landed short strikes from a partial back control. 10-9 Case.

Round 3:
Little transpired in the final round until Case took Trevino down. He used elbows to fight off a kimura attempt and Trevino countered with elbows of his own. A scramble followed and Case tried for a triangle choke and a guillotine. The fighters stood and circled each other, and the lacklustre fight ended with a chorus of boos from the crowd. 10-9 Case.

Winner: Johnny Case by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 21-4-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Cathal “The Punisher” Pendred defeated Augusto “Dodger” Montano by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 17-2-1 with the win.

– Gabriel “Moggly” Benitez defeated “Cassius” Clay Collard by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 18-4-0 with the win.
