Felice “Lil’ Bulldog” Herrig vs Lisa Ellis

Round 1:
Ellis took Herrig down right away and locked on a tight standing guillotine choke as the fight returned to the feet. Herrig appeared to be in trouble, but she held on and eventually escaped. Herrig scored a takedown of her own and moved to half-guard. Ellis swept into top position, but Herrig trapped her in a triangle armbar from the bottom. She used it to roll into mount and back to guard again.

Ellis worked her way free of the choke and took top position again. She tried for a guillotine choke and Herrig escaped into Ellis’s guard. Ellis landed slashing elbows from the bottom and briefly secured an omoplata. Herrig slammed her way free and tried for an arm-triangle choke. She punched from the top and mixed in short elbows from half-guard. Very close round. 10-9 Herrig, barely.

Round 2:
Herrig reversed a throw into top position in round two. She mounted Ellis soon after and Ellis gave up her back. Herrig worked for a rear-naked choke and Ellis shook her off. Ellis spun out of a Herrig armbar, but Herrig transitioned to a mounted triangle choke and back to an armbar again. She went belly-down with the hold and Ellis was forced to submit.

Winner: Felice Herrig by Submission (Armbar) at 3:05 of round two. She improves to 10-5-0.

 

“Hurricane” Heather Clark vs “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings

Round 1:
Rawlings opened the action with a left hook and a knee in close and Clark responded with a short uppercut. Clark stunned Rawlings with a right cross and took her down into side control. Rawlings scrambled and Clark landed punches as the fight returned to the feet against the cage. Both women landed knees to the body and Clark kept Rawlings pinned against the fence.

The fighters were separated and Rawlings stuffed a takedown. Clark landed knees in close and Rawlings countered with a combination. Clark held her against the cage wall again and worked for a takedown. Rawlings defended with elbows to the body and Clark answered with one to the face. Rawlings took her down into the scarf hold position and Clark took her back before the bell. 10-9 Clark.

Round 2:
The second round began with an exchange on the feet and Clark landed a pair of right-hand counters that backed Rawlings up. She followed with another nice combination, but Rawlings replied with a left hook. Clark just missed with a front kick and she reversed a takedown into top position. From side control, Clark landed hammerfists and transitioned to Rawlings’s back.

Rawlings tried to turn into Clark’s guard, but Clark stayed on her back and flattened her out. She tried for a rear-naked choke and Rawlings escaped. Rawlings nearly shook Clark off of her back, but Clark repositioned and threatened with more rear-naked choke attempts. She stayed on Rawlings’s back until the end of the round. 10-9 Clark.

Round 3:
Rawlings was aggressive with her punches in the final round and she just missed with a looping right hook. Two uppercuts scored for Rawlings and she landed two more soon after. Clark fired back with a one-two and a series of jabs, but her pace slowed down considerably. She clinched and held Rawlings against the cage. Rawlings punched free, but Clark clinched again soon after.

Clark caught a knee and tried for a takedown, but Rawlings stayed on her feet. The fighters were separated and both women landed punches in an exchange. Rawlings pressed forward with a knee and a right hook. She continued to score with uppercuts and Clark initiated a clinch. Rawlings broke away and landed kicks, but Clark backed her up with a big flurry. The fight ended with an exchange of knees and uppercuts. 10-9 Rawlings.

Winner: Heather Clark by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 7-4-0.

 

Joanne “JoJo” Calderwood vs Seo Hee Ham

Round 1:
Ham looked to set up left hands with leg kicks in the opening minute and Calderwood used her reach advantage to keep Ham at a distance. Ham still managed to land kicks and lunging hooks and Calderwood answered with one-twos. A pair of leg kicks landed for Ham and Calderwood snapped her head back with a jab. She followed with a kick to the upper body and Ham responded with a flurry.

Calderwood scored with a spinning back kick to the liver and she grazed with a spinning back elbow. Ham clinched and backed her up against the cage. The fighters traded knees to the body and Calderwood circled away. Ham pressed forward with punches, but Calderwood landed a counter right uppercut. Ham connected with a left cross and Calderwood landed two knees in the clinch. She finished the round with a hard left hand. Close round. 10-9 Calderwood.

Round 2:
Calderwood countered Ham’s punches in round two with stiff jabs, right hands and a step-in elbow. Both women landed leg kicks and straight punches. Ham countered a clinch attempt with a short elbow that stopped Ham in her tracks. Ham recovered and landed a combination that bloodied Calderwood’s nose. She took Ham’s back in the clinch and blood streamed from her damaged nose. Ham broke free from the clinch and landed a three-punch combo. Ham attempted a throw and Calderwood took her back again. She suplexed Ham to the mat before the bell. 10-9 Calderwood.

Round 3:
Calderwood backed Ham up against the cage in the final round and landed a hard knee to the face. The fighters separated and both landed combinations. Calderwood closed in and landed another nice knee. She followed with a slashing elbow and missed with a spinning one. Calderwood connected with a spinning backfist and a front kick, then slammed Ham to the ground. She locked on an arm-triangle choke, but Ham refused to submit and Calderwood moved to mount. Ham gave up her back and Calderwood landed punches until the bell. 10-9 Calderwood.

Winner: Joanne Calderwood by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 9-0-0.

 

Tecia “The Tiny Tornado” Torres vs “Your Majesty” Angela Magana

Round 1:
Torres put together combinations in the opening minute and Magana replied with a leg kick. More punches scored for Torres and she landed a pair of lead right hooks. Magana countered a flurry with a right-left combo, but Torres dropped her with a left hand and followed with more punches after Magana stood up. Magana clinched and Torres reversed against the fence. The fighters separated and Torres landed a series of punches and body kicks. 10-9 Torres.

Round 2:
Torres pressed the action with punching flurries again in round two and she mixed in kicks to the lead leg and body. Magana landed a handful of counter right hooks, but Torres remained the aggressor and she continued to find a home for her right hand on Magana’s temple. Magana landed a knee in close, but Torres put together more combinations. She rocked Magana with a pair of quick flurries and dove in with right hooks. Magana stayed on her feet, but Torres picked her apart with punches and side kicks. 10-9 Torres.

Round 3:
Torres battered Magana with more punches in the early stages of the final round as Magana struggled to land anything in return. Torres’s quick combinations and side kicks kept Magana on the defensive. A big right hook and a head kick landed for Torres, who easily avoided a clinch attempt. She followed with a one-two and another head kick that backed Magana up against the cage. More punch-kick combos landed for Torres and Magana barely stayed on her feet. Torres took her down and landed hammerfists to close out the lopsided fight. 10-8 Torres.

Winner: Tecia Torres by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 5-0-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Aisling “Ais The Bash” Daly defeated Alex “Astro Girl” Chambers by Submission (Armbar) at 4:53 of round one. She improves to 15-5-0 with the win.

– Angela “Overkill” Hill defeated Emily Kagan by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 2-0-0 with the win.
