Gleison Tibau vs Pat “Bam Bam” Healy

Round 1:
Tibau connected with a big left hand early in the fight and the fighters exchanged body kicks soon after. Tibau targeted the body and slammed Healy down to the mat. Healy looked to counter with an armbar attempt, but Tibau punched his way free. He landed more punches as Healy battled back to his feet and Healy fired back with a flurry to the body. 10-9 Tibau.

Round 2:
Tibau cracked Healy with a spinning backfist and took him back down in round two. Healy got to a knee against the cage and Tibau targeted his thigh with knee strikes. Healy stood and pressed forward with punches, but Tibau countered with short left hooks and tried for a takedown. Healy stayed on his feet, but he ate another left hand in the process. Healy clinched against the cage and Tibau punched free. He circled away from Healy in the final seconds. 10-9 Tibau.

Round 3:
Healy was aggressive with punches in the final round and he scored with a combination that set up a clinch against the fence. Tibau escaped from the clinch, but Healy continued to pressure him with punches and body kicks. A big uppercut scored for Healy and he clinched once more. Tibau finally dumped him to the mat, but Healy scrambled back up. Tibau dragged him back down and the fighters exchanged short punches on the ground before the final bell. 10-9 Healy.

Winner: Gleison Tibau by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 29-10-0.

 

Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith vs Jessamyn “The Gun” Duke

Round 1:
Smith scored with two left hooks early in the fight and Duke answered with a series of leg kicks. Two right hooks backed Duke up and Smith pressed forward with body kicks and more power punches. An uppercut scored for Duke and she caught a body kick. Duke punched away until Smith freed her leg and unloaded with punches, knees and a head kick. Duke withered against the cage and Smith dropped her with a flurry to the liver. She landed a final knee to the body as the fight was waved off.

Winner: Leslie Smith by TKO (Knees & Punches) at 2:24 of round one. She improves to 7-5-1.

 

Aljamain “Funk Master” Sterling vs Hugo “Wolverine” Viana

Round 1:
Sterling opened the fight with hard kicks to the lead leg and body, but Viana caught one and knocked him down with a counter right hand. Sterling stood and threw more kicks that kept Viana guessing. He ducked under a wild right hook and took Viana down against the cage. Viana stood, but Sterling landed knees to the body on the way up. He kept Viana pinned against the cage and scored with more knees. The fighters separated and Sterling wobbled Viana with a head kick. Viana recovered and landed a nice body kick and a chopping leg kick before the bell. 10-9 Sterling.

Round 2:
Sterling mixed up his strikes with some solid combinations and kicks in the second round. Viana landed kicks of his own, but Sterling took him down and struck from the top in his guard. Viana battled back to his feet, only to be taken right back down. Sterling smothered him with short strikes against the cage and tried to pass to mount. Viana gave up his back and Sterling worked for a rear-naked choke. He landed hard punches from back control in the final seconds. 10-9 Sterling.

Round 3:
Sterling took Viana back down in the final round and struck from the top in half-guard. He used short punches and elbows to set up a move to mount. Sterling tried for an arm-triangle choke from mount and he punched to the body with his left hand. He could not secure the choke, but Sterling postured up with some vicious punches and elbows as Viana struggled to defend. Sterling continued to unload with strikes until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Aljamain Sterling by TKO (Elbows & Punches) at 3:50 of round three. He improves to 10-0-0.

 

Yosdenis “The Pink Panther” Cedeno vs Jerrod “J-Reazie” Sanders

Round 1:
Cedeno dropped Sanders with a right hand in the opening minute and Sanders countered by working for a takedown after regaining his composure. Sanders briefly held top position, but Cedeno scrambled free and dove in with a right hand from the top. He settled into Sanders’s half-guard and continued to punish him with ground and pound. Sanders attempted to counter with backhand strikes from his back before the end of the round. 10-8 Cedeno.

Between rounds, Sanders was unable to get back to his feet and indicated that he had sustained an injury to his left knee. The fight was waved off and Cedeno was awarded a TKO victory.

Winner: Yosdenis Cedeno by TKO (Retirement) at 5:00 of round one. He improves to 10-3-0.

 

Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha vs Tina “Jelly Bean” Lähdemäki

Round 1:
Gadelha pressed the action with lead left hooks early on and Lähdemäki answered back with right hands. Gadelha secured a Thai clinch and landed three hard knees to the body. She slammed Lähdemäki down to the mat and landed some nice punches from the top. She stood and kicked at Lähdemäki’s legs, then dropped down into half-guard. Gadelha passed to mount and Lähdemäki was forced to give up her back. Gadelha landed some hard shots from back control and worked for a neck crank. A bloodied Lähdemäki defended well until the end of the round. 10-9 Gadelha.

Round 2:
Lähdemäki landed left hooks in round two and Gadelha countered by slamming her to the canvas. She avoided a brief omoplata attempt and remained on Lähdemäki’s back as Lähdemäki stood. Gadelha landed punches until the fighters were separated for no reason. Gadelha attempted a spinning backfist and Lähdemäki replied with a combination. She landed more punches that cut Gadelha on the left side of her nose and the fighters traded right hands before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Gadelha by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Lähdemäki shrugged off a takedown attempt in the final round and she landed quick kicks and punches as Gadelha began to slow down. Quick flurries landed for both fighters and Gadelha threw two body kicks. Lähdemäki remained effective with her punches, but Gadelha closed the distance and scored a nice trip takedown. She briefly moved to half-guard, but Lähdemäki regained full guard soon after. Gadelha struck from the top until Lähdemäki kicked her off and stood up. Big right hands landed for both women and Gadelha scored with more body kicks. She took Lähdemäki back down before the bell. 10-9 Gadelha.

Winner: Claudia Gadelha by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. She improves to 12-0-0.
