Joe Proctor vs Cristiano Marcello

Round 1:
Proctor landed a nice right hand and locked on a standing guillotine choke early in the fight. Marcello took him down and escaped from the choke. He moved to half-guard and Proctor quickly scrambled to regain full guard. Marcello punched from the top and attempted an Achilles lock, but Proctor pulled his leg free and stood up. Proctor secured another tight guillotine choke before the bell. 10-9 Proctor by a slim margin.

Round 2:
Proctor kicked at Marcello’s leg and pressed the action in the second round. Marcello tried unsuccessfully for a takedown and Proctor landed a short left hook. Proctor hurt Marcello with a barrage of punches and the tired fighters exchanged right hands. Proctor continued to tee off with punches as Marcello retreated. 10-9 Proctor.

Round 3:
Proctor hurt Marcello with right hands in the final round and Marcello fell to his back. Proctor allowed him to stand and Marcello connected with a left hook of his own. Proctor avoided an overhand right from Marcello and landed jabs and one-twos. A right hook stunned Marcello again and Proctor followed with another one. Proctor rocked Marcello once more with punches and Marcello dove in for a takedown. The fighters stood and Proctor cracked Marcello with more right hands in the final minute. 10-9 Proctor. Close to a 10-8.

Winner: Joe Proctor by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 9-2-0.

 

Rodrigo Damm vs Ivan “Batman” Jorge

Round 1:
Damm landed a series of leg kicks and two hard left hooks in the opening two minutes of the fight. Jorge answered back with chopping leg kicks of his own. Jorge pressed the action with strikes, but Damm continued to counter effectively with leg kicks and punches. As the round progressed, Damm landed more leg kicks and quick combinations. Jorge connected with a flurry of his own shortly before the bell. 10-9 Damm.

Round 2:
Damm kicked at Jorge’s legs again in round two and Jorge responded with a hook to the body. Time was called after Jorge was poked in the eye. The fight continued and this time Damm suffered an eye poke. Right hooks were exchanged after the restart and Damm backed Jorge up with punches. The fighters exchanged punches and both men landed some solid shots in close. A flurry of punches opened a cut below Jorge’s right eye late in the round. 10-9 Damm.

Round 3:
Damm caught a kick and tripped Jorge right away in the final round. He moved to a crucifix and landed elbows, but Jorge escaped and transitioned to a tight Brabo choke. Damm fought free and stood up. A fatigued Jorge attempted a takedown and the fighters traded sloppy punches. Damm countered a takedown with an armbar attempt and stood up. Kicks were exchanged and time was called after Jorge was struck in the groin. More sloppy punches were exchanged after the restart. 10-9 Jorge.

Winner: Rodrigo Damm by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-6-0.

 

Francisco “Massaranduba” Trinaldo vs Jesse “The Body Snatcher” Ronson

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of kicks and both men landed to the lead leg and body. Trinaldo connected with a nice left hand and he followed with more punches that hurt Ronson. After a brief clinch, Trinaldo landed a right hook and a big left uppercut. Trinaldo began to get wild with his strikes, but he continued to land leg kicks and just missed with a spinning hook kick. 10-9 Trinaldo.

Round 2:
More kicks were exchanged in the second round and Trinaldo targeted Ronson’s lead leg again. Ronson finally began to land some punches and he mixed in more body kicks. Trinaldo connected with a looping right hook and ate a leg kick in return. Ronson stuffed a takedown and threw a back elbow strike. He landed hooks and a grazing spinning wheel kick. Trinaldo tripped Ronson late in the round and tried to set up a rear-naked choke. Close round. 10-9 Trinaldo, barely.

Round 3:
Ronson mixed up his strikes with kicks and single punches in round three. A lunging left hook scored for Trinaldo, but Ronson remained the aggressor and he landed a nice right hand. Ronson stuffed a takedown, but Trinaldo took his back and landed knees. Trinaldo held Ronson against the cage and landed more knees to the thigh. Late in the round, Trinaldo took down and he closed out the fight on top. 10-9 Trinaldo.

Winner: Francisco Trinaldo by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 14-3-0.

 

Iuri “Marajo” Alcantara vs Wilson Reis

Round 1:
Reis landed a nice hook and took Alcantara down right away. A scramble ensued and Reis briefly held back control. Alcantara wound up on top and he landed short elbows from Reis’s half-guard. Reis stood and tried for a takedown, but he wound up mounted. Reis swept and took top position in Alcantara’s half-guard. The fighters were stood up for no apparent reason and Reis landed some solid left hands. Alcantara dropped him with a counter right hook, but Reis rolled through and he took Alcantara back down. Alcantara stood and secured a takedown of his own. Close round. 10-9 Alcantara.

Round 2:
Alcantara floored Reis early in round two and he swarmed on him with more punches on the ground. Reis recovered and mounted Alcantara. After a scramble, Alcantara wound up on top and he fought off a leglock attempt. The fight returned to the feet and Reis scored a takedown against the cage. He landed short punches from the top until the bell. Another close round. 10-9 Alcantara despite Reis’s late rally.

Round 3:
Alcantara countered leg kicks from Reis with looping left hooks in the final round. Reis closed in and took him down near the cage wall. He peppered Alcantara with punches and elbows from half-guard until Alcantara finally managed to scramble back up to his feet. From the clinch, Alcantara tripped Reis and he landed a series of punches from the top to potentially steal back the round. 10-9 Reis, barely.

Winner: Iuri Alcantara by Split Decision (30-27, 30-27, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 29-5-0, 1 NC.

 

Felipe “Sertanejo” Arantes vs Maximo “Maxi” Blanco

Round 1:
Blanco rushed forward right away with wild punches and Arantes landed a counter right hook. Blanco swarmed with punches to the body and head and took Arantes down against the cage. Arantes stood and threw a flying switch kick. He followed with a Superman punch and leg kicks. Blanco hurt Arantes again with body shots, but Arantes tagged him with a counter combination and a knee to the body. Arantes dropped Blanco with a right hook and tried for a rear-naked choke. He transitioned to a crucifix and then an armbar, but Blanco escaped. 10-9 Arantes.

Round 2:
Blanco tripped Arantes with a leg kick in round two and he dropped down into Arantes’s guard. Arantes locked on a triangle choke and Blanco escaped by powerbombing him twice. On the feet, Blanco targeted the body and landed a left hook to the jaw. Arantes countered with a body shot and a head kick attempt. Blanco took Arantes back down, but Arantes held on until referee Mario Yamasaki called for a standup. 10-9 Blanco.

Round 3:
Arantes tagged Blanco with a hard one-two early in the final round and he stuffed a takedown. Time was called after a vicious kick to the groin from Blanco. The fight eventually continued and Blanco was docked one point for the foul. Blanco kicked to the body and tripped Arantes, but Arantes attempted an armbar from the bottom. The fighters stood and Arantes took Blanco down. Blanco stood and Arantes shot in again. In the final minute, Arantes stayed bus in the clinch with knees and punches to the body. 10-8 Arantes.

Winner: Felipe Arantes by Unanimous Decision (29-27, 29-27, 29-27) after three rounds. He improves to 16-6-1, 2 NC.

 

Ildemar “Marajo” Alcantara vs Albert “Einstein” Tumenov

Round 1:
Alcantara landed a nice one-two in the early goings, but Tumenov knocked him down with a counter left hook. Alcantara stood and scored an impressive takedown. Tumenov reversed and landed elbows from the top. He stood up and rained down punches as Alcantara struggled to hold on. Alcantara stood and a bloodied Tumenov threw a head kick. Alcantara took him down and both men landed right hands on the ground just before time expired. 10-9 Tumenov.

Round 2:
Alcantara opened round two with knees, but Tumenov stunned him with two counter hooks. Alcantara took Tumenov down and used ground and pound to set up an arm-triangle choke attempt. He took Tumenov’s back and then moved to mount, but Tumenov escaped to his feet. Alcantara landed knees in the clinch and the fighters were separated. Alcantara took Tumenov down and landed an elbow from the top. He scored with more elbows before the bell. 10-9 Alcantara.

Round 3:
Alcantara kicked from a distance in the final round and Tumenov picked his shots with counter right hands. A big right hook scored for Tumenov and the fighters traded leg kicks. Tumenov countered a body kick with a left hook, but Alcantara landed a combination. He followed with stiff jabs and a pair of one-twos. In the final ten seconds, Alcantara knocked Tumenov off-balance with a right hook. 10-9 Alcantara.

Winner: Ildemar Alcantara by Split Decision (30-27, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 20-6-0.

 

Zubaira “Warrior” Tukhugov vs Douglas “D’Silva” Silva de Andrade

Round 1:
Tukhugov looked to set up spinning attacks early in the fight and Silva de Andrade kicked from a distance. Tukhugov caught a kick and took Silva de Andrade down briefly. He landed a flurry of punches on the way up. A spinning backfist partially landed for Tukhugov and Silva de Andrade answered with a leg kick. Tukhugov dropped and cut Silva de Andrade with a counter left hand. Time was called to check Silva de Andrade’s forehead cut. Action resumed and Tukhugov took Silva de Andrade down. The fighters stood and Tukhugov landed a hard combination. 10-9 Tukhugov.

Round 2:
Silva de Andrade opened round two with an overhand right, but ate a hard body kick for his efforts. Big punches landed for both fighters and Tukhugov followed with another flurry. Tukhugov shot in for a takedown and Silva de Andrade scrambled free. He lunged in with a one-two and Tukhugov responded with a body kick. Tukhugov took Silva de Andrade’s back and briefly got him down, but Silva de Andrade scrambled up. Both men attempted spinning backfists and Silva de Andrade landed. Close round. 10-9 Tukhugov.

Round 3:
The final round featured an exchange of punches early on and Silva de Andrade landed one of his best combinations of the fight. He followed with a nice left hook and a leg kick. Silva de Andrade stuffed a takedown, but Tukhugov got him down on his second try. Silva de Andrade countered with a front headlock and the fighters stood. Tukhugov threw a spinning backfist and Silva de Andrade fired back with a left hook. 10-9 Silva de Andrade.

Winner: Zubaira Tukhugov by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 16-3-0.
