Rodrigo Damm vs Anistavio “Gasparzinho” Medeiros de Figueiredo

Round 1:
Damm landed some solid leg kicks in the opening minute and time was called after he was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Damm rocked de Figueiredo with a left hook. He dropped him with a right and took his back on the ground. Damm secured a rear-naked choke and de Figueiredo was forced to submit.

Winner: Rodrigo Damm by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 2:12 of round one. He improves to 10-5-0.

 

Francisco “Massaranduba” Trinaldo vs Delson “Pe de Chumbo” Heleno

Round 1:
Trinaldo landed a short left hook that stunned Heleno in the opening minute. Heleno tried for a takedown and Trinaldo defended well. Trinaldo landed a hard left hook and a series of knees. Heleno attempted another takedown, but wound up on his knees and Trinaldo landed knees to the body. He sprawled out of another takedown from Heleno and landed punches. Heleno pulled half-guard and Trinaldo blasted him with hammerfists until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Francisco Trinaldo by TKO (Punches) at 4:21 of round one. He improves to 11-1-0.

 

Hugo “Wolverine” Viana vs John “Macapa” Teixeira da Conceicao

Round 1:
Big punches were exchanged in the opening minute, but neither fighter landed cleanly. Viana connected with a right hook and da Conceicao just missed with an uppercut. Da Conceicao pressed forward with punches and body kicks. Viana answered with a flurry, but he was sent off-balance by a left hook.

Da Conceicao scored with a knee to the body and ate a looping one-two in return. Both fighters continued to throw punches with full power and both landed. Viana targeted the body and avoided a front kick. He clinched and unloaded with right hands. Da Conceicao broke away, then walked forward with a right hook. Close opening round. 10-9 Viana.

Round 2:
Da Conceicao clinched early in round two and looked for a takedown against the cage. Viana defended and stayed on his feet. Da Conceicao broke away briefly, then clinched again and dumped Viana to the mat. Viana used the fence to work back to his feet and the fighters were separated.

Viana jabbed to the body and fired off a flurry to the face. Da Conceicao answered with punches of his own. Viana ate a looping hook and a knee that forced him to backpedal. Da Conceicao landed kicks to Viana’s body and lead leg. He closed out the round with a knee to the body. 10-9 Da Conceicao.

Round 3:
The final round began with an exchange of leg kicks and both fighters connected with jabs. Viana landed a hard overhand right and time was called when he was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Viana scored with a looping left hook to the temple. He jabbed and landed a leg kick.

Da Conceicao answered with a leg kick in return. He tried to cut off the cage as Viana circled. Da Conceicao took Viana down briefly, but Viana got back to his feet. The fighters exchanged punches and leg kicks and Viana landed stiff jabs before the end of the fight. 10-9 Viana.

Winner: Hugo Viana by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 6-0-0.

 

Thiago “Bodao” de Oliveira Perpetuo vs Leonardo “Macarrao” Mafra Texeira

Round 1:
Both fighters landed kicks early on and Perpetuo put together combinations. He landed a body kick and a right hand, then pushed forward with a series of kicks. Texeira answered with a body kick of his own and clinched briefly. He circled away and landed looping right hooks, which set off an exchange of power punches. Perpetuo landed a big one-two and looked for a takedown. Both fighters landed knees to the body and Perpetuo scored with a standing elbow. Close round. 10-9 Perpetuo.

Round 2:
Perpetuo landed punches in the second round and tried for a takedown, but Texeira countered with an armbar attempt on the way down. Perpetuo escaped, but had to fight off a second armbar. Texeira landed hammerfists from the bottom and continued to try for armbars. Perpetuo fought free with big elbows. Texeira remained active from his back, but Perpetuo scored with more punches and elbows. He postured up with 20 seconds to go and briefly passed to side control. 10-9 Perpetuo.

Round 3:
Perpetuo landed a front kick to the body and dropped Texeira with a right hook early in the final round. He swarmed with a barrage of punches on the ground until referee Mario Yamasaki intervened for the stoppage.

Winner: Thiago de Oliveira Perpetuo by TKO (Punches) at 0:41 of round three. He improves to 9-1-1.

 

Marcos Vinicius “Vina” Borges Pancini vs Wagner “Galeto” Campos

Round 1:
Pancini landed leg kicks early on and time was called after he was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and both fighters landed solid punches. Campos scored with left hooks and more leg kicks. Pancini replied with a combination and the fighters clinched. Campos took him down and struck from the top.

Campos passed to mount and then locked on an arm-triangle choke in a scramble. Campos released the choke and resumed striking from the top. Pancini pushed him off and landed an upkick, but Campos returned to his guard and scored with more short strikes. He stood and ate a series of upkicks from Pancini. 10-9 Campos.

Round 2:
Pancini landed a leg kick in round two and attempted a flying knee, but was dropped by a counter hook. Campos took top position and landed short strikes on the ground while working for a Kimura on Pancini’s left arm. He let it go and switched to a keylock attempt on the opposite arm. Pancini fought back to full guard briefly.

Campos postured up and moved to half-guard, but Pancini pushed him off and fired off hammerfists from his back. He cut Campos in the process, but Campos moved to half-guard again. Pancini regained full guard once more and attempted a triangle choke. He scored with a hard upkick before the round came to a close. 10-9 Campos, barely.

Round 3:
Pancini threw another flying knee in the final round and hurt Campos with a knee to the body and a right hook. Campos appeared to be frozen in place and Pancini teed off with punches and more knees. After a final flurry of punches, Campos appeared to be out on his feet and referee Herb Dean stopped the fight just as Campos fell to his knees.

Winner: Marcos Vinicius Borges Pancini by TKO (Knees & Punches) at 1:04 of round three. He improves to 20-3-1.

 

Felipe “Sertanejo” Arantes vs Milton “Miltinho” Vieira

Round 1:
Arantes landed leg kicks early on and Vieira answered with quick combinations. Vieira scored a takedown and worked from the top in half-guard. He methodically passed to side control and tried to set up a Brabo Choke. Arantes scrambled back to full guard. Vieira threw short punches and elbows from the top, then postured up with more strikes. He passed to side control again and tried for another Brabo Choke. Arantes regained full guard once more. 10-9 Vieira.

Round 2:
Arantes attempted a flying knee and landed a body kick in round two. He remained aggressive with punches and landed occasional leg kicks. Arantes sprawled out of a takedown attempt and Vieira landed a knee on the way up. Vieira flurried with punches and Arantes circled out. He landed another leg kick and a stiff jab. Vieira landed a spinning wheel kick that badly wobbled Arantes, but Arantes recovered and scored a takedown. Arantes briefly held back control and landed a right hand before the bell. 10-9 Arantes.

Round 3:
Arantes jabbed and put together quick combinations in the final round. He landed a leg kick and avoided a one-two from Vieira. Arantes put together a big combination and a right hook, then stuffed a takedown. Vieira tried to pull guard, but ate a series of right hands for his efforts. Vieira got to full guard and worked to set up a submission on Arantes’s left arm. The fighters were stood up and Arantes landed a spinning back kick to the body. Vieira landed two kicks before the end of the fight. 10-9 Arantes.

Result: Split Draw (29-28 [Arantes], 29-28 [Vieira], 28-28) after three rounds. Arantes moves to 14-4-1, 2 NC, while Vieira is now 13-7-2.
