Marcus “The ‘Bama Beast” Brimage vs Stephen “Bigfish” Bass

Round 1:
Brimage opened the fight with a nice two-punch combination and followed with another one. Bass landed a leg kick and tried for a takedown, but Brimage stayed on his feet. Brimage continued to land punches and Bass answered with a knee. Brimage scored with a hard left hook and flurried with punches. He mixed in uppercuts as well and Bass’s nose began to bleed.

Brimage landed a lunging combination and a Superman Punch. Bass connected with a knee to the body and Brimage landed leg kicks. Both fighters slowed down, but Brimage landed a lead right hook and another leg kick. Brimage threw a one-two and an inside-leg kick and Bass answered back with a right hook in the final seconds. 10-9 Brimage.

Round 2:
Time was called early in round two after Bass was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and Brimage landed leg kicks and punches. Bass landed a vicious kick to the groin and time was called again. The fight continued and Brimage put together quick combinations of punches. He added occasional kicks, but focused primarily on outboxing Bass.

Brimage avoided a combination from Bass and landed a counter combo. Bass finally landed a hard right hand that backed Brimage up, but Brimage regained his composure and fired off three punches. Bass dove for a leg and tried for a takedown. Brimage stuffed it, but Bass landed a knee. The fighters traded power punches before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Brimage.

Round 3:
Huge punches were exchanged in the final round and Bass dropped Brimage with two hooks. Brimage quickly recovered and reversed a takedown attempt. The fighters stood and Bass rushed in with wild punches. Brimage sidestepped, but Bass connected with a right hook and an uppercut. Brimage landed an uppercut, left hook combo, but it did not stop Bass’s forward momentum.

Bass tried for a takedown and Brimage defended. The fighters traded punches on the feet and Brimage began to take back control of the standup battles. Brimage landed a solid left cross and Bass responded with body kicks. A one-two landed for Brimage and it set off a wild exchange of punches in the final seconds. Bass dropped Brimage just before the end of the round. 10-9 Bass.

Winner: Marcus Brimage by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 4-1-0.

 

John “Prince” Albert vs Dustin “The Disciple” Pague

Round 1:
The fight began quickly with an exchange of punches and Albert landed a nice one-two. He dropped Pague with a right hook and swarmed with punches. Albert trapped Pague’s right arm and continued to throw punches until referee Herb Dean stopped the fight.

Winner: John Albert by TKO (Punches) at 1:09 of round one. He improves to 7-1-0.

 

“Stunning” Roland Delorme vs Josh “Taz” Ferguson

Round 1:
Punches were exchanged right away and Delorme took Ferguson down. He tried for a guillotine choke, but gave up top position in the process and Ferguson made him pay with punches. Delorme attempted an armbar and locked on a triangle choke. He maintained the choke and landed punches and elbows from the bottom. Ferguson refused to tap out and eventually escaped when Delorme tried to transition to an omoplata. Ferguson moved to mount and landed punches. He attempted an arm-triangle choke and an armbar. Excellent round. 10-9 Delorme.

Round 2:
Ferguson landed a hard one-two in the second round and the fighters traded punches in close. Delorme jabbed and landed a lead left hook. Ferguson flurried and Delorme landed a knee. Ferguson began to target the body with punches and a kick. Delorme tried for a takedown, but wound up on the bottom. He attempted to stand up, but Ferguson locked on a guillotine choke. Delorme escaped and the fighters stood. Ferguson landed stiff jabs and Delorme scored a late takedown. 10-9 Ferguson.

Round 3:
Delorme dropped Ferguson with a short left hand in the final round and immediately took his back on the ground. Delorme secured a tight rear-naked choke and Ferguson quickly tapped out.

Winner: Roland Delorme by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 0:22 of round three. He improves to 7-1-0.

 

“Super” Steven Siler vs Josh “The Gentleman” Clopton

Round 1:
Clopton opened the fight with a lead left hook and Siler answered with a right. Clopton clinched and landed an elbow and punches over the top, but Siler countered well with knees. Both fighters just missed with looping left hooks and Siler landed a body kick and a series of knees.

Siler rushed in with a kick, but Clopton caught it and threw him to the mat. Siler stood and landed another kick. Clopton targeted the body and landed a hard right to the jaw. Two more hooks scored for Clopton and Siler countered with knees. He pulled guard with a guillotine before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Siler.

Round 2:
Big right hands landed for both fighters to start the second round and Siler scored with knees from a Thai clinch. A left hook also landed for Siler and he continued to punish Clopton with knees. Knee after knee found the mark for Siler and Clopton could not escape. Finally, Clopton broke free of the clinch and swept Siler to the mat.

Clopton scored with a series of punches and hammerfists on the ground until Siler got back to his feet. Powerful hooks landed for both fighters and Siler once again secured a Thai clinch for knees. Clopton began to bleed heavily from the nose and Siler landed a solid right cross. Clopton took Siler down and wound up in a guillotine at the bell. 10-9 Siler.

Round 3:
Clopton landed a right hook and tried for a takedown in the final round, but Siler countered with a standing guillotine choke. Clopton escaped and took Siler down. Siler attempted to stand, but a bloodied Clopton kept him down and landed short strikes. Siler scrambled up and landed knees and a short right hook. Clopton lost his mouthpiece, but quickly replaced it and took Siler down.

Clopton tried to land strikes from the top, but Siler held on and defended well. Clopton managed to land punches to the body and Siler worked rubber guard from the bottom. Clopton postured up with a hammerfist, but Siler got back to his feet and teed off with punches. The round ended with four knees from Siler. Another close round. 10-9 Clopton by a slim margin.

Winner: Steven Siler by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 19-9-0.

 

Bryan “Kid Lightning” Caraway vs Dustin “The Beast” Neace

Round 1:
The fighters traded jabs for much of the opening minute and Neace landed a nice right hand. Caraway cracked him with a left hook and followed with more punches. Neace answered back with more jabs, but Caraway took him down. Neace countered with an inverted triangle choke from the bottom, but Caraway escaped to side control. Neace regained half-guard and Caraway spun to the back. He attempted a rear-naked choke, but could not get it. Very close round. 10-9 Caraway, barely.

Round 2:
Caraway landed leg kicks in the second round and Neace answered with one to the body. A looping overhand right backed Neace up and the fighters traded jabs for the next minute. Caraway flurried and took Neace down. He landed in side control, but Neace scrambled and nearly put Caraway on his back. Caraway reversed and secured back control, then locked on a rear-naked choke. Neace was forced to submit.

Winner: Bryan Caraway by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:38 of round two. He improves to 16-5-0.
