Late Tuesday night, MMARising.com learned that Damm’s participation in the tournament was at great risk due to visa issues that were attributed to Strikeforce not obtaining the necessary documents in a timely manner. The problems have since been resolved and Damm will compete as planned.

Erin Toughill's Next Fight Likely Not In StrikeforceAfter a planned August 21st bout with Shana “Rock Solid” Olsen was cancelled earlier this week, the next fight for Erin “Steel” Toughill is unlikely to be contested inside a Strikeforce cage. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker confirmed the news with MMARising.com earlier this evening.

Coker stated that previous plans to reschedule the Toughill vs Olsen fight for September or October are no longer targeted, but that Toughill remains on the Strikeforce radar. Should she win her fight outside of Strikeforce, a long awaited bout with Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos is a possibility.

The visa is required for Damm to compete as scheduled on August 13th in Phoenix, Arizona.

As first reported this morning on MMARising.com, Damm had reportedly provided Strikeforce with all required paperwork in advance. However, delays have now put her participation on the August card in serious jeopardy. She was set to be part of the one-night 135-pound women’s tournament.
