Su Jeong Lim To Face Emiko Raika At Revolution 2 In SeoulKickboxing star Su Jeong “Beautiful Fighter” Lim makes her mixed martial arts debut on September 12th at Revolution 2: “Start of the Revolution” in Seoul, South Korea. Lim faces off against fellow MMA debutant Emiko “Fujin” Raika, one of Japan’s most decorated female boxing champions.

The striker versus striker matchup was officially announced this past week. Lim is one of South Korea’s most well-known female kickboxers and she holds a key victory over four-time Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup Champion Rena Kubota. Raika has captured five titles during her storied boxing career.

Lim (24-9-0 KB [9 KOs]) has competed extensively in Thailand throughout her career, but her biggest win to date came in her home country. On March 20, 2009, Lim faced off against a 17-year-old Kubota under the K-1 banner and prevailed via Split Decision after an extension round. She went on to capture the Southern Thailand Women’s Middleweight Championship two months later. Lim entered the 2009 Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup tournament, but she was unable to advance past the opening round. She has since scored a notable win over Miku Hayashi and now looks to begin a new career in MMA.

Raika (25-8-1 Boxing [10 KOs]) is regarded as one of Japan’s most successful female boxers. The 38-year-old’s career dates back more than 14 years and she has held titles for the WIBA, IFBA and OPBF. Raika has faced some of the top female boxers in the world and holds notable wins over Jeri Sitzes, Shelby Walker, Melissa Fiorentino and Ann Saccurato (twice). She has won seven of her past nine fights including four by way of knockout. Though likely nearing the end of her career, Raika still possesses big power in both hands and she will look to upset Lim in next month’s MMA debut.

Revolution 2: “Start of the Revolution” is set to take place on September 12th at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea. The bout between Lim and Raika will be contested at a catchweight of 58 kilograms (127.6 pounds).
