Michelle Ould To Face Zoila Frausto At TWC: "Meltdown"Strikeforce veteran Zoila “The Warrior Princess” Frausto will face another tough test when she returns to action at The Warriors Cage: “Meltdown” on May 16th. The talented kickboxer will square off with hard-hitting striker Michelle “Thundercat” Ould. Both Ould and Frausto confirmed plans for the 125-pound bout earlier this evening.

Frausto most recently suffered her first loss in a bout with Miesha “Takedown” Tate at Strikeforce Challengers 7, while Ould has not tasted defeat since a 2008 loss to current FCF champ Lynn Alvarez.

Ould (4-2-0, 1 NC) made her professional MMA debut in 2007 at the aptly-titled XFS 5: “Heavy Hitters” and picked up a first-round stoppage win. She was defeated by Sophie Bagherdai in a controversial bout six months later when the referee prematurely stopped the fight, but has since lost just once in five bouts and now aims to crack the top ten at 125 pounds. Newly-christened as “Thundercat” by close friend and MMA writer Samantha Johnson, Ould will have no trouble standing and trading strikes with Frausto, who will drop down to her natural weight class.

Frausto (5-1-0) opened her career with four decision victories, including a win over Elisha Helsper in Strikeforce. The confident kickboxer submitted Jessica Rakoczy in February, but was dominated en route to a second-round submission loss in a 135-pound grudge match with Miesha “Takedown” Tate last Friday. Frausto gave full credit to Tate for the win, but stated after the fight that she would like to drop down to her natural weight of 125 pounds. She will do just that in May, but will not have an easy fight against the aggressive and motivated Ould.

TWC: “Meltdown” takes place on May 16th at the Eagle Mountain Casino Event Center in Porterville, California. Frausto’s younger sister, Stephanie, will also compete on the card.
