Amanda Lucas Submits Mika Harigai At DEEP: "Cage Impact"Amanda “Powerhouse” Lucas picked up her second straight win for DEEP on Saturday night in Tokyo, Japan. Lucas defeated veteran journeywoman Mika “Hari” Harigai with a rear-naked choke at DEEP: “Cage Impact 2011 in Tokyo.” The end came just 4:32 into the opening round of the fight.

Lucas secured a similarly quick submission win in her August DEEP debut when she armbarred Hikaru Shinohara at “55 Impact.” Saturday’s victory came five seconds faster than the win over Shinohara. Lucas, the adopted daughter of Star Wars creator George Lucas, has won three straight.

Lucas (3-1-0) and Harigai (6-25-1) traded leg kicks and punches in the early goings before Lucas took her opponent down. Harigai attempted a guillotine choke, but Lucas escaped and held Harigai in place after Harigai gave up her back. Harigai briefly stood, but was taken down once again. Lucas tried for a guillotine choke from mount, then scored with a series of punches and looked to set up an armbar. Harigai eventually rolled over and Lucas flattened her out before using more punches to set up a fight-ending rear-naked choke.

Already a star among the Japanese sports media, Lucas maintains an unblemished record in DEEP through two appearances. She has not lost in MMA since her professional debut in mid-2008 and has plans to move down to the 145-pound division in the future in order to secure more fights.

Winner: Amanda Lucas by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 4:32 of round one. She improves to 3-1-0.
