Misaki Takimoto Wins At Valkyrie 3While the event was completely overshadowed by UFC 104 and Dream.12, Greatest Common Multiple’s all-female Valkyrie division showcased another solid night of fights at “Valkyrie 3,” which saw veteran gatekeeper Misaki Takimoto stop Yasuko Mogi in the main event.

Elsewhere on the card, Naoko Omuro remained undefeated in the promotion with a Unanimous Decision over Yukiko Seki, while Sachiko Yamamoto rebounded from her loss to Omuro at Valkyrie 2 with a second-round submission of Maho Muranami.

Takimoto (11-11-4) brought her record back to an even .500 with the win, but many of her 11 losses have come against some of the best female fighters in the world. She is the only woman to have ever defeated Miku Matsumoto twice, but she has also dropped two fights to Matsumoto as well.

She picked up her first career victory by TKO when she defeated Mori by TKO (Punches) at 0:51 of round three.

In other action on the card:

Naoko Omuro defeated Yukiko Seki by Unanimous Decision after three 3-minute rounds. The win kept Omuro’s undefeated streak intact in Valkyrie fights, while Seki dropped to a dismal 5-18-0 overall. Omuro improves to 10-7-3 with the win.

Sachiko Yamamoto defeated Maho Muranami by Submission (Armbar) at 2:32 of round two. The impressive victory got Yamamoto back on the winning track, and with two of her four losses coming at the hands of reigning DEEP Women’s Flyweight Champion Satoko Shinashi, Yamamoto’s career remains bright. Yamamoto improves to 6-4-1 with the win.

Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama defeated Madoka Ebihara by Unanimous Decision after three 3-minute rounds. This fight marked Sugiyama’s pro debut and she did not disappoint. Defeating a solid test in Ebihara – who holds a win over Sachiko Yamamoto – Sugiyama made an immediate impact. Sugiyama improves to 1-0-0 with the win.

Fukuko “Happy” Hamada defeated Yuko Takagi by Submission (Armbar) at 1:01 of round two. With the victory, Hamada rebounded after dropping three consecutive fights, including one to Satoko Shinashi. Takagi, a member of Team Angura alongside Valkyrie Featherweight Champion Yuka Tsuji, dropped her pro debut. Hamada improves to 5-3-0 with the win.

Ayame “Iris” Miura defeated Masae Mori by Unanimous Decision after two 3-minute rounds. The fight was Miura’s professional debut and she put on a solid performance, while Mori, also a member of Team Angura, remains winless in her career thus far. Miura improves to 1-0-0 with the win.

In grappling action, Yuki Sugiuchi defeated Yuki Tanaka by Submission (Armbar) at 0:47 of round two.

While the event received little to no fanfare, Valkyrie continues to put on solid shows alongside the male Cage Force division of Greatest Common Multiple and Valkyrie 3 was no exception.
