Aoki vs Calvancante II At Dream.2

Ending weeks of speculation, DREAM's parent company, Fight Entertainment Group, has announced that Shinya "Tobikan Judan" Aoki and Gesias "JZ Calvan" Calvancante will face each other once again, at Olympia Dream.2 on April 29th.

The first bout between the two, in the opening round of the DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix on March 15th, ended in a No Contest after an illegal elbow strike from Calvancante.

The April 29th rematch will once again be a first-round bout in the DREAM Lightweight Grand Prix, with the victor having to compete just two weeks later in the second round of the Grand Prix, at Heiwa Dream.3, which takes place on May 11th at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan.

The winner of the Aoki vs Calvancante fight will move on to face Olympic wrestling silver medallist Katsuhiko Nagata in the second round.

In other second-round bouts at Heiwa Dream.3, Joachim "Hellboy" Hansen will face Eddie Alvarez, Tatsuya "Crusher" Kawajiri will battle Luiz "Buscape" Firmino and "The Endless Fighter" Mitsuhiro Ishida will take on Caol Uno, who enters the tournament with a Bye after recovering from a broken jaw.


Fans will now see a definitive winner crowned between Aoki and Calvancante, but the victor could be fatigued in their second-round bout, just two weeks later.
