Saya Ito vs Yuuki Kira Booked For December 7 M-Fight CardWPMF Japan Women’s Pinweight Champion Saya Ito steps back into the ring for her next bout at M-Fight: “The Battle of Muay Thai 6” on December 7th in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The 15-year-old “Muay Thai Genius” is set to face off against 18-year-old Yuuki Kira in a 100-pound matchup.

M-Fight officials announced the fight this week. Ito most recently avenged a past loss by defeating Haru “Taj Mahal” Tajima in September to capture the WPMF Japan women’s pinweight title. Kira dropped a Majority Decision to Akari “Union” Nakamura in early August at the Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup.

Ito (78-12-3 amateur, 2-2-1 pro) began her professional career in April following a remarkable amateur run that included numerous world title reigns in multiple weight classes. Her pro debut was a successful one, but she was outpointed by Tajima in the pair’s first meeting in May. Following the loss, Ito battled to a Majority Draw with J-Girls Mini Flyweight Champion Momi and suffered a competitive decision loss to Sylvie von Duuglas-Ittu in Thailand. She got her pro career back on track by edging out Tajima in their five-round WPMF Japan title rematch on September 7th.

Kira (5-7-2 KB/SB) has split her time between kickboxing and shoot boxing during her combat sports career, but she has had her gratest success inside the shoot boxing ring. In 2013, Kira advanced to the finals of the Shoot Boxing JKS48 high school girls’ tournament before losing to two-time champion Mio Tsumura. She rebounded with two victories before dropping a one-sided kickboxing bout to Deep Jewels champ and recent UFC signee Seo Hee Ham in May. Most recently, Kira was outpointed by Nakamura in a non-tournament bout during the Shoot Boxing Girls S-Cup in August.

M-Fight: “The Battle of Muay Thai 6” is set to take place on December 7th at ĊŒsanbashi Pier Hall in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The bout between Ito and Kira will be contested over three rounds at 45.36kg (100 pounds) and elbow strikes will not be permitted.
