Sarah Moras Defeats Christina Barry At Aggression FC 11Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras rebounded from her first professional loss with a quick win tonight at Aggression Fighting Championship 11: “Takeover” in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Moras finished BJJ brown belt Christina Barry with an armbar just 93 seconds into their 140-pound catchweight bout.

Moras bloodied her opponent’s nose with a big knee in the early goings, but Barry was able to take the fight to the mat. Moras swiftly transitioned into an armbar and wrenched back on Barry’s left arm. Barry cried out in pain and the bout was stopped, giving Moras the technical submission victory.

Moras (3-1-0) kept Barry (0-1-0) at bay with leg kicks in the opening seconds of the fight. Barry pushed forward in search of a clinch, but Moras countered nicely with a knee to the face. Barry began to bleed from the nose, but she was able to reverse a trip attempt and wound up on top in Moras’s half-guard. Within seconds, Moras regained full guard and then spun into an armbar. She went belly-down with the submission and pulled back on Barry’s arm. Barry did not tap, but she let out an audible cry in pain and referee Adam Cheadle intervened to stop the fight.

A dejected Barry protested the stoppage, but the call appeared to be justified. All three of Moras’s professional victories have come inside the distance.

Winner: Sarah Moras by Technical Submission (Armbar) at 1:33 of round one. She improves to 3-1-0.
