Kaitlin Young To Face Milana Dudieva At ProFC 37 In RussiaJust days after picking up an impressive victory at Freestyle Cage Fighting 49, Kaitlin Young has agreed to face one of Russia’s top female prospects on November 9th. The Minnesota native battles Milana Dudieva at ProFC 37 in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. The promotion announced the bout today.

Young returned after a six-month absence on October 1st and stopped late replacement opponent Liz Carreiro in the main event of the FCF card. All five of her credited wins have come by knockout. Dudieva has finished all but one opponent and has not lost since her February 2009 pro debut.

Young (5-5-0)* became an overnight star in 2007 with three knockout victories in one night to win the HOOKnSHOOT Women’s Grand Prix, but encountered tough times after stepping up in competition for her next four fights. After a close decision loss to Julie “Fireball” Kedzie in a five-round title fight in April, she got back to her winning ways with the first-round stoppage of Carreiro. To date, all of Young’s MMA bouts have taken place in the United States. She will make her debut outside the U.S. in November.

Dudieva (7-1-0) tapped out to strikes late in the round two of her pro debut, but has put together seven straight wins since that time. After five stoppage victories, Dudieva faced her toughest test to date in December and earned a Unanimous Decision over highly-touted Sheila “The German Tank” Gaff. She returned eight months later and scored a 41-second armbar submission of Risalat Mingbatyrova at a ProFC event on August 5th. All seven of Dudieva’s wins have come inside the ProFC ring.

ProFC 37 is set to take place on November 9th at the Lights of Ufa Entertainment Complex in Ufa, Bashkortostan, Russia. Young and Dudieva will face off at 136 pounds.

*Young’s credited record does not include a September 24, 2010 Ultimate Women Challenge bout.
