Alexa Grasso To Face Heather Clark At UFC Fight Night 98 In MexicoInvicta FC strawweight contender Alexa Grasso will make her long-awaited Octagon debut in her home country on November 5th at UFC Fight Night 98 in Mexico City, Mexico. Grasso faces off against The Ultimate Fighter 20 competitor “Hurricane” Heather Clark in featured action on the card.

Indiscutido.com first reported on the bout today. Grasso made a successful return from injury this past month and kept her unbeaten record intact by defeating Jodie Esquibel in the Invicta FC 18 headliner. Clark looks to rebound from a loss to top UFC contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz in May.

Grasso (8-0-0) was twice slated to compete for the Invicta FC Strawweight Championship after winning her first three fights for the promotion, but injuries kept her on the sidelines for more than 17 months. She made her much-anticipated return to the cage on July 29th and earned a Unanimous Decision victory over Esquibel. Many expected that Grasso would move on to finally challenge for Invicta FC gold, but she instead transitions to the UFC as one of the most popular stars on the November card.

Clark (7-5-0) has also battled through injuries in recent years, including a torn ACL that she fought through in a December 2014 victory over “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings at The Ultimate Fighter 20 Finale. Clark underwent surgery that kept her out of action throughout all of 2015, and she put forth a solid showing in her bout with Kowalkiewicz in May. Kowalkiewicz took control of the fight in the final ten minutes and prevailed via Unanimous Decision, and Clark looks to get back into contention by upsetting Grasso.

UFC Fight Night 98 takes place on November 5th at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico.
