Germaine De Randamie Faces Anna Elmose At UFC Fight Night 87Multi-time Muay Thai champ Germaine “The Iron Lady” de Randamie looks for her third UFC victory when she competes at home on May 8th at UFC Fight Night 87: “Overeem vs Arlovski” in Rotterdam, South Holland, The Netherlands. The Dutch star meets UFC newcomer Anna “Panda” Elmose.

UFC officials announced the bantamweight battle early this morning. De Randamie is coming off of an impressive second-round stoppage win over Jungle Fight champion Larissa Moreira Pacheco at UFC 185. Denmark’s Elmose has knocked out all three of her professional opponents to date.

De Randamie (5-3-0) kicked off her UFC career with a close Split Decision victory over Julie “Fireball” Kedzie in July 2013, but she took a lengthy hiatus from competition after suffering a TKO loss to current top contender Amanda “Lioness” Nunes four months later. She returned to the Octagon one year ago and dominated Pacheco en route to a TKO triumph midway through the second round. De Randamie looks to continue her climb up the bantamweight ranks with another win in May.

Elmose (3-0-0) made an instant impact for leading U.K. promotion Cage Warriors when she destroyed Emma Delaney in just 19 seconds in her November 2014 pro debut. She stepped back into action four months later and finished Aitek Emadi with second-round punches. In her most recent fight, Elmose knocked out Italian veteran Mara Romero Borella at a Unified Combat League event in Denmark. She now steps into her UFC debut in search of an upset over her more experienced foe.

UFC Fight Night 87: “Overeem vs Arlovski” takes place on May 8th at Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, South Holland, The Netherlands. The event is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between Alistair Overeem and Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski, and also features a women’s strawweight bout between Karolina Kowalkiewicz and “Hurricane” Heather Clark.
