Former Deep Jewels champion Seo Hee Ham looks to make it two in a row inside the Octagon when she returns to action on March 20th at UFC Fight Night 85: “Hunt vs Mir” in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Ham is set to face off against hometown star “Rowdy” Bec Rawlings at 115 pounds.

UFC officials confirmed plans for the strawweight matchup today following an initial report from the Brisbane Times. Ham and Rawlings were initially set to meet at UFC Fight Night 65 in May, but Ham was forced to withdraw due to a nasal fracture and Rawlings submitted late replacement Lisa Ellis.

Ham (16-6-0) became the final Jewels 106-pound champion in May 2013 and her title carried over into Deep Jewels when the new faction was formed shortly thereafter. She made two successful Deep Jewels Atomweight Championship defences before vacating her belt and signing with the UFC in late 2014. She made her Octagon debut on short notice against fellow striker Joanne “JoJo” Calderwood and dropped a competitive three-round decision. After recovering from her injury, Ham returned to action in November and edged out Cortney “Cast Iron” Casey in an action-packed bout at UFC Fight Night 79.

Rawlings (6-4-0) went 1-2 under the Invicta FC banner, where she stepped in on extremely short notice to challenge for the promotion’s strawweight title in early 2013, and transitioned to the UFC the following year in order to take part in The Ultimate Fighter 20. Best-known for her outspoken nature and trash talk during the competition, Rawlings’s run on the show ended in the opening round, and she subsequently dropped a decision to rival “Hurricane” Heather Clark at the TUF 20 Finale. Rawlings dominated Ellis in May, but she was sidelined for the remainder of 2015 due to a stress fracture in the neck of her femur.

UFC Fight Night 85: “Hunt vs Mir” takes place on March 20th at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. The event is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Mark “Super Samoan” Hunt and former champion Frank Mir.
