Lauren Murphy vs Sarah Moras Announced For UFC Fight Night 82Former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Lauren Murphy steps back into the Octagon on February 21st at UFC Fight Night 82 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Murphy is set to face off against The Ultimate Fighter 18 semi-finalist Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras in a featured bout on the card.

UFC officials announced the matchup on Monday evening. Murphy seeks to rebound from a pair of contentious decision losses in her first two UFC bouts. Moras also looks to get back on the winning track after dropping a Unanimous Decision in her most recent fight at UFC Fight Night 71 in July.

Murphy (8-2-0) kicked off her pro career with eight straight victories that culminated with an Invicta FC bantamweight title win in late 2013. She was subsequently signed by the UFC and made her Octagon debut against Sara McMann, but dropped a razor-thin Split Decision to the Olympic medallist at UFC Fight Night 47. Murphy returned to action in April, but came out on the wrong end of another close and competitive decision against former UFC title challenger Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche.

Moras (4-2-0) put forth a solid showing on TUF 18 that included victories over Tara LaRosa and Peggy “The Daywalker” Morgan before succumbing to a second-round guillotine choke from rival Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Peña in the pair’s semi-final rematch. After recovering from an injury, Moras made her UFC debut at the TUF 19 Finale and edged out Alexis “Sneaky Zebra” Dufresne. She sat out for a year before returning in a losing effort against Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade at UFC Fight Night 71.

UFC Fight Night 82 takes place on February 21st at Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
