Five More Fights Announced For Deep Jewels 10 In TokyoRecent Deep Jewels strawweight title challenger Emi “Kamikaze Angel” Fujino looks to rebound from a decision loss in August when she returns to action on November 23rd at Deep Jewels 10 in Tokyo, Japan. Fujino is set to face off against popular kickboxing prospect Nori Date under MMA rules.

Deep Jewels officials announced the fight today along with four additional bouts that all feature members of Team Date. In a featured atomweight matchup, Emi Yamamoto takes on Hana Date. Sachiko Fujimori battles Karei Date, Pan Hui meets Proof Date, and Reina Miura faces Nao Date.

Fujino (16-9-0) earned her shot at the Deep Jewels Strawweight Championship by winning three straight fights, including a key victory over former champion Emi Tomimatsu, but she suffered her third loss to rival Mizuki Inoue in their August trilogy fight. In spite of the setback, the veteran Fujino remains one of the most skilled fighters on the Deep Jewels roster and she enters next month’s fight as a massive favourite against her inexperienced opponent.

Nori (0-0-0) begins her pro MMA career after earning her spot on the Deep Jewels roster by winning an amateur bout for the upstart T-Rex promotion. The fan favourite took former Shoot Boxing champion Ai Takahashi to a closely-contested Majority Decision in June, and she most recently picked up a one-sided decision win in her return to J-Girls kickboxing competition this past Saturday. She now seeks to score a significant upset in her Deep Jewels debut.

Yamamoto (0-2-0) hopes to secure her first professional MMA win when she takes on Hana (0-0-0) in a 105-pound fight. Yamamoto was quickly stopped by South Korean star Ga Yeon “Deadly Beauty” Song in August 2014 and most recently suffered a quick submission loss to the much more experienced “Princess” Satoko Shinashi in February. Hana, like her teammate Nori, has made a name for herself in kickboxing. In addition to her Deep Jewels debut next month, she is also booked to compete under kickboxing rules in China on October 24th.

Rounding out the action, strawweight prospect Fujimori (3-1-0) welcomes Karei (0-0-0) to the Deep Jewels ring. Hui (1-0-0) looks to make it two-for-two in MMA bouts for Deep Jewels when she battles Proof (0-0-0) in an atomweight showdown. Lastly, former high school judo champion Miura (0-0-0) faces fellow Deep Jewels debutant Nao (0-0-0) in an amateur bantamweight matchup.

Deep Jewels 10 takes place on November 23rd at Shinjuku FACE in Tokyo, Japan. The event features two previously announced atomweight bouts pitting Emi Tomimatsu against Satomi “Sarami” Takano, and Naho “Sugi Rock” Sugiyama against Mina Kurobe. Both fights are scheduled for three 5:00 rounds and elbow strikes will be permitted.
