Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion Tonya “Triple Threat” Evinger picked up her eighth straight win in the Invicta FC 14 main event on September 12th in Kansas City, Missouri. Evinger destroyed the previously unbeaten Pannie “Banzai” Kianzad in a non-title bout and climbs up the 135-pound rankings.
Other key winners in September included strawweight rising star “12 Gauge” Paige VanZant, who submitted Alex “Astro Girl” Chambers at UFC 191, and 17-year-old atomweight Kanna Asakura, who upset former Valkyrie champ and Invicta FC contender Yasuko “Ikuko” Tamada at Vale Tudo Japan 7th.
