UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jędrzejczyk has received a new date and opponent for her next title defence. The undefeated Polish star is now set to face off against Valérie “Trouble” Létourneau at UFC 193: “Rousey vs Holm” on November 15th in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

UFC officials announced the updated matchup earlier today. Jędrzejczyk was initially slated to battle Claudia “Claudinha” Gadelha in a rematch at UFC 195, but the tentative bout was scrapped due to concerns over Gadelha’s recovery from a finger injury. Létourneau is 2-0 at 115 pounds.

Jędrzejczyk (10-0-0) earned her shot at the UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship by edging out Gadelha in the pair’s closely-contested fight in December, and she captured the 115-pound title with a dominant second-round knockout victory over then-champion Carla “Cookie Monster” Esparza at UFC 185. She made a quick return to action in June and successfully retained her new belt by stopping former Invicta FC Atomweight Champion Jessica Penne. Jędrzejczyk was expected to face Gadelha for a second time, but UFC officials instead moved her to the promotion’s debut card in Melbourne.

Létourneau (8-3-0) got off to a rocky start in her UFC career, which initially ended following a brief stint as a bantamweight on The Ultimate Fighter 18. She rejoined the promotion on short notice after picking up an easy victory in regional competition and outpointed Elizabeth Phillips at UFC 174. Following the fight, Létourneau opted to make the move down to the strawweight division, and the change has thus far paid off. She won her 115-pound debut against Jessica “The Ragin'” Rakoczy and most recently upset the previously undefeated Maryna “The Iron Woman” Moroz on August 23rd.

UFC 193: “Rousey vs Holm” takes place on November 15th at Etihad Stadium in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The event is headlined by a UFC Women’s Strawweight Championship bout between “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm.
