TUF 18 semi-finalist Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras steps back into the UFC Octagon on July 15th at UFC Fight Night 71: “Mir vs Duffee” in San Diego, California. Moras is set to face off against Brazilian contender Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade in a featured bantamweight matchup on the card.

UFC officials announced the fight on Tuesday. Moras has won back-to-back fights and she most recently eked out a Split Decision victory over Alexis “Sneaky Zebra” Dufresne at the TUF 19 Finale. Andrade recently had her three-fight winning streak snapped by a submission setback in February.

Moras (4-1-0) advanced to the TUF 18 semi-finals in 2013 by defeating MMA pioneer Tara LaRosa and prospect Peggy “The Daywalker” Morgan in succession before succumbing to a second-round guillotine choke from eventual champion Julianna “The Venezuelan Vixen” Peña. Moras had previously broken Peña’s arm in the pair’s first fight back in April 2012. Sidelined due to injuries, Moras sat out for the remainder of 2013 and returned to action in July with a narrow victory over Dufresne. After actively campaigning for a fight, Moras finally received one and she now competes again after a one-year layoff.

Andrade (12-4-0) rebounded from a loss in her UFC debut against former title challenger Liz “Girl-Rilla” Carmouche by racking up three straight wins against formidable opposition. After handing Jungle Fight champion Larissa Moreira Pacheco her first defeat in September, Andrade faced off against rising star Marion “The Belizean Bruiser” Reneau in February. Reneau scored her second straight upset win by submitting the Brazilian with a first-round triangle choke, and the disappointing loss halted Andrade’s run towards title contention, but she can get back on track with a win over Moras in July.

UFC Fight Night 71: “Mir vs Duffee” takes place on July 15th at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego, California. The event is headlined by a heavyweight bout between Frank Mir and Todd Duffee.
