A bantamweight bout between former boxing world champion Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm and TUF 18 alum Raquel “Rocky” Pennington has been rebooked for UFC 184: “Weidman vs Belfort.” The event takes place on February 28th at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

MMAjunkie.com first reported on the rescheduled matchup earlier this week. Holm and Pennington were initially slated to face off at UFC 181, but Holm was forced to withdraw due to a neck injury. Pennington remained on the card and choked out CFA champ Ashlee Evans-Smith in the first round.

Holm (7-0-0) is one of the top female strikers in the world and she has dominated her opponents in each of her seven MMA bouts to date. The former pound-for-pound boxing star has quickly become known for her devastating arsenal of kicks, which she has used to finish five foes including fellow striker Juliana “Julie” Werner in a Legacy FC women’s bantamweight title fight in April. Holm subsequently signed with the UFC, but her Octagon debut was delayed due to injury. She now steps in to face Pennington in two months’ time and looks to begin her climb towards a UFC title shot.

Pennington (5-4-0) put together a solid run on The Ultimate Fighter 18 following a disappointing stint with Invicta FC, where she dropped fights against top contenders “Alpha” Cat Zingano and Leslie “The Peacemaker” Smith. She kicked off her official UFC career with a three-round win over Roxanne “The Happy Warrior” Modafferi in late 2013 before dropping a razor-thin decision to Jéssica “Bate Estaca” Andrade in March. At UFC 181, Pennington rallied back from early adversity and choked Evans-Smith unconscious with a bulldog choke at the very end of round one.

UFC 184: “Weidman vs Belfort” takes place on February 28, 2015 at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The event also features a UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship bout between “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey and “Alpha” Cat Zingano. Both female fights will air on the PPV main card.
