Jinh Yu Set To Face Darla Harris At Sugar Creek Showdown 18SCS Women’s Atomweight Champion Jinh Yu will make the first defence of her new title against Colorado-based prospect Darla “Train Wreck” Harris at Sugar Creek Showdown 18: “Declaration of Pain.” The event is set to take place on July 27th at the Sugar Creek Casino in Hinton, Oklahoma.

Yu made a successful pro debut in early April when she submitted Meghan Wright to become the first SCS 105-pound women’s champion. The SCS 18 card features a second women’s title fight as Tamikka “Boom Boom” Brents and Amanda Miller vie for the vacant featherweight championship.

Yu (1-0-0) capped off a 3-2 amateur run in September when she challenged for the Tuff-N-Uff 110-pound women’s title. She dropped a close decision to Jordan McDonald in the championship fight, but the narrow loss did not deter Yu from making her pro debut earlier this year. On April 6th, the Texas native captured the inaugural SCS 105-pound belt with a first-round rear-naked choke submission of Wright. Yu looks to continue to climb the atomweight ranks when she puts her title on the line for the first time.

Harris (3-2-0) opened her pro career with three straight victories including decision wins over Jennifer Moran and XFC signee Stephanie “The Scrapper” Skinner. In October, she took a step up in competition to face Diana “Dynamite” Rael, but succumbed to a second-round rear-naked choke. On February 9th, Harris engaged in a three-round battle with Invicta FC contender Lacey “The Ladie” Schuckman. The 22-year-old aims to get back on the winning track by defeating Yu for the SCS title.

Brents (2-0-0) followed up on an 11-0-1, 1 ND run as an amateur by picking up a first-round TKO victory in her November pro debut. The win earned Brents a spot on the Invicta FC roster and she made the most of the opportunity by outpointing Amanda “The Lady Killer” Bell at Invicta FC 4. Her opponent at SCS 18, Miller (0-0-0), makes her pro MMA debut following a lengthy stint in boxing. In her lone MMA fight to date, the hard-hitting Miller scored a 65-second knockout victory in October 2011.
