Chelsea Colarelli vs Heather Clark Planned For December 10Chelsea “The Italian Princess” Colarelli will make a quick return to the cage for her fourth bout in three months. The former XFL women’s champion is expected to face Heather “Hurricane” Clark at Evolution Combat Sports Championship: “Evolution 2” on December 10th in Clovis, New Mexico.

Clark revealed plans for the 115-pound matchup today. She has won four straight fights since dropping her pro debut. Colarelli has been extremely active in 2011 and has already fought four times this year. She lost her XFL title to Ashley “Smashley” Cummins in a thrilling bout this past weekend.

Colarelli (6-4-0) opened her career with a modest 1-2 start, but went on to win five straight fights and became Xtreme Fighting League 115-pound women’s champion in 2010. On October 1st, she took a big step up in competition on short notice, but fell victim to a second-round rear-naked choke from rising star “Little” Patricia Vidonic at BlackEye Promotions 5. Colarelli looked to rebound in her title fight with Cummins, but succumbed to another rear-naked choke in round five of a back-and-forth battle. All ten of Colarelli’s pro fights have ended via submission.

Clark (4-1-0), a talented boxer out of Jackson’s MMA, has finished four straight opponents since losing a Unanimous Decision in her pro MMA debut. Among her wins is a 10-second knockout and a TKO stoppage of the previously unbeaten Jennifer “Superstar” Scott in the ECSC cage. Last month, Clark faced Sarah “Too Sweet” Alpar at Freestyle Cage Fighting 49 and handed Alpar her first defeat via third-round submission. Clark will move down to 115 pounds to face Colarelli and a victory would be huge for the New Mexico native.

Evolution Combat Sports Championship: “Evolution 2” takes place on December 10th at the Curry County Events Center in Clovis, New Mexico.
