Chelsea Colarelli vs Ashley Cummins Targeted For XFN 5Xtreme Fighting League women’s champion Chelsea “The Italian Princess” Colarelli will defend her 115-pound title against unbeaten prospect Ashley “Smashley” Cummins at Xtreme Fight Night 5 on November 18th in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The promotion announced the planned bout earlier today.

Colarelli has won two of three fights since her last appearance inside the XFL cage in July 2010 and has never gone to a decision in her professional career. Cummins won all eight of her amateur bouts and is regarded as one of MMA’s top female prospects. She makes her pro debut in the fight.

Colarelli (6-3-0) has been past the second round just one time to date and has secured submissions in all six of her victories. Likewise, all of Colarelli’s defeats have also come by tapout, but she has tasted defeat only once in close to three years. Colarelli brought a five-fight winning streak into her toughest bout to date at BlackEye Promotions 5 on October 1st, but succumbed to a second-round rear-naked choke in a competitive bout with rising star “Little” Patricia Vidonic. The Texas native now returns to Oklahoma to defend her XFL title.

Cummins (8-0-0 amateur) is a former champion in the respected Tuff-N-Uff promotion in Las Vegas. Last September, she won a one-night HOOKnSHOOT tournament title before returning to Tuff-N-Uff this April to make one final defence of her belt. Needing less than two minutes to submit Jocelyn “Lights Out” Lybarger, Cummins retained the title but vacated it after the fight in order to turn pro. She had intended to make her professional debut at BlackEye 5, but was removed from the card after opponent Angelica Brotherton withdrew due to illness.

XFL: “Xtreme Fight Night 5” takes place on November 18th at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Colarelli and Cummins will square off for Colarelli’s 115-pound XFL title.
