So I have not seen the fight yet. But the more important thing does the penalty fit the crime.

With out seeing the fight. I am going to say no. These guys in the heat of battle may not feel or hear as good. With the juices flowin. I think what killed his career is the smack talk after the fight. But either way maybe a stiff fine a 4 month with no fights.

I'd ban him for 6 months.
This is still a sport, it isn't a war. There are things called rules and he didn't follow them, I watched the fight and I thought he was an asshole for choking him out. And if he didn't feel that tap then he should have seen the ref telling him to stop, yet he sunk it in for another 5 seconds put him to sleep and let go. He knew he tapped, the ref also told him to let go, and the bell went off.

Also, he didn't have any respect for his opponent, which he should have..

They just showed a little highlight package on this on SportsNet, so I just saw it for the first time.

Heath was obviously the one who was bleeding badly in the undercard fight that I made reference to in a post elsewhere, as the highlight package showed him bleeding horribly from somewhere on his head/face.

Anyways, Babalu sunk in a really nice Anaconda Choke, Heath tapped, Mazzagatti starts waving off the fight, Babalu smiles at the ref, holds the choke for another few seconds and then finally lets it go.

I've never been a fan of Babalu anyway, and his recent arrest (though that did seem to be blown out of proportion) didn't do him any favours, but what I will miss is Babalu getting destroyed by Shogun in a rematch that the UFC undoubtedly would have eventually set up. Oh well, maybe in a few years.

I really need to find this fight on the net. Or at least the last 25 seconds. Smiled at the ref? What a goof.

I watched it on daily motion.. I didn't read the rules for this site so I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link :P Go look for it, it might still be there

Probably better if we do not have any links to fight videos from recent PPVs because I'd rather not have any companies upset with us for housing links. However, the onus is on YouTube and DailyMotion to remove the videos.

We will be using YouTube and DailyMotion for hosting videos relevant to this site, but those will be our own and there won't be any copyright issues.

If you find fight links to YouTube, DailyMotion or other media outlets, PMing links to one another is perfectly fine. You can link to whatever you want on YouTube or DailyMotion (fighters training, interviews, etc.) in posts as long as it's not a fight or some other sort of copyrighted material.

Thanks for bringing that up, though. I had forgotten to mention that.

I read somewhere (can't remember where) that he commented that Heath said things he didn't like before the fight, as though he were justifying his actions. I think we can all agree thats pretty highly retarded (if thats the case). That said, I feel bad for him if this is going to seriously cripple his career (which I assume it will).

They suspended him due to his troubles out of the ring too.
A few weeks before the fight, he got arrested in Florida.
I hope we get to see him again.
