You guys will have to set yourselves up with avatars so the pages look normal. I'm probably not going to use any "default" avatars here, since people are free to choose their own (within reason).

I'm going to spend the next few hours editing various things on the site, so some new forums will emerge and some settings will change.

Since we don't have many members here yet, and I'm not going to be doing much P.R. work for another week or two, I'll just note for the people who see this that I'm well aware that the top of the site currently looks ugly with the vB logo and ad below it, but I'm just formatting it for when we have an actual logo that goes in place of the vB thing.

The logo will extend across the page - either mostly or entirely - so it will actually look good then.

Sorry for the minor ugliness in the meantime.

We're doing a bit of advertising now, but the main focus is on finishing the front page.

Except for the "Advertise with us" which is out of place..

I suppose with minor tweaks the forum will look nice.

That's actually where the "Advertise With Us" is supposed to be, but if you think there's a better place for it, let me know and I can move it.

The forums will pretty much stay like this, minus a logo at the top instead of the vB thing. I might add some other things in the future, though, especially additional forums.

Oh, I still need to download some better smilies, but I've been busy with more important stuff. I'll do that soon, promise.

And what I meant by saying that Advertise With Us is out of place is that the positioning on the page is incorrect... as in, it's not within it's borders or within the footer... It kinda appears half in the footer and half below.. I'm cool with where on the page it's located, I'm just saying in terms of your code placement, on my browser it's displaying incorrectly.. (not within the footer..)

For the homepage link, scroll down to the bottom of any page. Click where it says "MMARising.com" next to "Contact Us" below the clock.

As for the Advertise With Us thing, I assume you have FireFox (coding websites to display properly in FireFox is ridiculously annoying), so we'll need to edit its values to display properly.

Does the Copyright notice also display partly in the space and partly out? If so, there's an easy fix and I'll do it right away.

Yes I use Firefox.
No it's only Advertise with us that's out of place.
The rest is perfectly fine.

However, I assumed that if one wanted to go back to the home page it should be easily accessible instead of having it at the bottom in some corner.
Just my thoughts though.

I altered the coding and location of the Advertise thing, so it should be better now.

One fix remains for the front page, but I can't figure it out, so it'll be done tomorrow. I think that should be all of it.


Just so you know, all of the display errors in FireFox are the same in Safari (Mac web browser), which I was using earlier today for a few minutes, so I know what was wrong.

I fixed everything on the front page, and it displays properly in FireFox and Safari now.

For anyone reading this, I changed a bunch of the forum colours around, and I think that most of them are considerable improvements.

If there's things you don't like, let me know. I know the shade for the Category Strips (forum title background colour) isn't perfect, but that took about four hours to get it to this point, so I'm conceding defeat for now. It's better than any other shades I have tried.
