Louis “Da Last Samurai” Smolka vs Jose Alberto “El Teco” Quiñonez

Round 1:
Quiñonez landed a hard leg kick to begin the fight and he took Smolka down into side control, but Smolka scrambled up to his feet almost immediately. Quiñonez caught a front kick and he pushed Smolka down to the mat. Smolka stood and Quiñonez landed a right hook and a leg kick. He followed with lead left hooks and another chopping kick to Smolka’s lead leg. Both men landed punches and Smolka fought off a takedown, but he ate a knee in the process. This set off an exchange of punches, with both men landing. Quiñonez continued to attack Smolka’s leg with kicks, but Smolka flurried to the body and he took Quiñonez down after catching a kick. He attempted a guillotine choke and Quiñonez got back to his feet. 10-9 Quiñonez.

Round 2:
The second round began with both fighters landing punches to the body and Quiñonez took Smolka down. Smolka countered with a guillotine choke from the bottom and he used it to get back to his feet. Smolka punched to the body and Quiñonez landed a knee from a Thai clinch. Smolka threw him down into mount and he struck from the top with punches as Quiñonez rolled to his side. He gave up his back and Smolka landed rapid-fire punches to the sides of Quiñonez’s head until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Louis Smolka by TKO (Punches) at 2:15 of round two. He improves to 17-7-0.

 

Ilia Topuria vs Damon “The Leech” Jackson

Round 1:
Topuria opened the fight with a flurry of punches to Jackson’s body and head. Jackson, bleeding from the bridge of his nose, responded with a front kick and he punched his way into a clinch. Topuria broke free and he cracked Jackson with two power hooks. He attacked the body with more left hooks and then melted Jackson with a massive overhand right to the jaw. Jackson collapsed to the mat against the cage and Topuria landed a follow-up left hand before the fight was waved off.

Winner: Ilia Topuria by KO (Punches) at 2:38 of round one. He improves to 10-0-0.

 

Jake “The Prototype” Collier vs Gian Villante

Round 1:
Villante countered early leg kicks from Collier with a combination and Collier repeatedly scored with stiff jabs. Villante opened a cut between Collier’s eyes with a right hand and the fighters continued to exchange power punches. Collier landed a left hook to the liver and he rocked Villante with a looping hook to the jaw. Collier pressed forward with punches as Villante covered up and circled away. He recovered and both men landed combinations. Collier continued to attack Villante’s left leg with kicks and he landed two hard left hands before the bell. 10-9 Collier.

Round 2:
Collier scored with a right-left combo to begin the second round and Villante staggered briefly. A jab-cross combo landed for Collier and both men followed with body kicks. Villante landed an uppercut-hook combo and Collier backed up momentarily. He pressed forward with jabs and Villante responded with another combination. He followed with an overhand right and Collier answered with a right cross. Villante mixed things up with body kicks and uppercuts. Collier landed a spinning backfist, but Villante flurried with punches again. The round ended with Collier landing a spinning back kick to the body. Close second round. 10-9 Collier by a slim margin.

Round 3:
Time was called early in the final round when Villante was inadvertently kicked in the groin, but action resumed soon after and Collier threw a three-punch combo followed by a spinning backfist. Another timeout was called when Collier suffered a groin kick. The fight continued and Collier landed two hard combinations and a front kick to the body. He followed with a knee to Villante’s chest and a combination, then a spinning back kick to the liver. The tired fighters traded punches during a relatively uneventful final minute. 10-9 Collier.

Winner: Jake Collier by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 12-5-0.
