Alex “Bruce Leeroy” Caceres vs Chase “The Dream” Hooper

Round 1:
Caceres landed stiff jabs to Hooper’s left eye that caused immediate redness and swelling early in the fight. He dropped Hooper with a counter right hand soon after. Hooper stood and continued to pursue Caceres, who scored with more counter hooks before Hooper secured a clinch and tried to hop on his back. Caceres escaped from the clinch and landed a combination to the body and head. He followed with a head kick and a counter combination that snapped Hooper’s head back. Hooper clinched late in the round and Caceres countered with a takedown, but Hooper scrambled into a heel hook attempt before the bell. 10-9 Caceres.

Round 2:
The second round began with Caceres once again countering Hooper’s forward pressure with jabs and lead right hooks. Hooper clinched briefly and Caceres broke free. Hooper landed a nice right hand and Caceres clinched once more. After a break, Hooper fell while throwing a head kick and Caceres landed a combination after Hooper returned to his feet. Hooper jumped guard in pursuit of an armbar and Caceres stood up. Once again, Hooper tried to pull guard and Caceres avoided it. Hooper used an ankle pick to sweep and he wound up on top. Caceres escaped to his feet and the round ended in a clinch. 10-9 Caceres.

Round 3:
Hooper walked Caceres down with left hands to begin the final round and Caceres countered with hooks to the body and head. Hooper clinched and he tried to take Caceres’s back. The fighters separated and time was called after Caceres was kneed in the groin. Action quickly resumed and Caceres remained effective with counterpunches as Hooper closed in. Hooper tried to pull guard and Caceres had none of it. He kept Hooper at bay with jabs until Hooper clinched and tried for a takedown. Hooper wound up on the bottom and Caceres threw hammerfists from the top. 10-9 Caceres.

Winner: Alex Caceres by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 16-12-0, 1 NC.

 

Ian “The Hurricane” Heinisch vs Gerald “GM3” Meerschaert

Round 1:
Heinisch countered early aggression from Meerschaert with hard leg kicks while circling to the side. Seconds later, Heinisch floored Meerschaert with an overhand right. He dove in with more punches on the ground as Meerschaert got to his knees and covered up. Heinisch continued to land big right hands on the ground and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Ian Heinisch by TKO (Punches) at 1:14 of round one. He improves to 14-3-0.

 

Cody “The Spartan” Stamann vs Brian “Boom” Kelleher

Round 1:
Kelleher opened the fight with fakes and a lead left hook, which Stamann countered with a combination and two leg kicks. Both men switched stances quickly and kicked at the other’s legs. Stamann landed a flurry and a body kick while staying outside of Kelleher’s range. He followed with a head kick that Kelleher partially blocked. Stamann caught a kick and tripped Kelleher momentarily, but Kelleher returned to his feet and he landed a combination to the body. Stamann responded with a quick flurry to Kelleher’s ribs and he kept Kelleher on the defensive. Stamann ducked under a Kelleher combination late in the round. 10-9 Stamann.

Round 2:
Stamann kept Kelleher at bay with jabs early in round two, but Kelleher secured a clinch against the fence and he worked for a takedown. Stamann defended and broke free, then landed a quick combination. He jabbed and chased after Kelleher with looping punches that led to an exchange of power shots. Stamann was poked in the eye during an exchange and Kelleher briefly backed him up with hooks, but Stamann returned fire with a hard combination. Kelleher landed an elbow and an uppercut as Stamann closed the distance. Stamann took him down and he landed short elbows and hammerfists from the top. Kelleher scrambled up and both men missed with kicks before the bell. 10-9 Stamann.

Round 3:
Stamann caught a kick and tripped Kelleher to begin the final round. Kelleher returned to his feet and both men landed punches. Kelleher began to press the action and he landed a body kick and a right hook. Stamann countered a clinch with knees to the body and the fighters separated. Kelleher closed the distance and flurried with body punches, then dropped levels for a takedown. He got Stamann down and Stamann attempted a late guillotine choke. Close final round. 10-9 Kelleher by a slim margin.

Winner: Cody Stamann by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 19-2-1.

 

Maki “Coconut Bombz” Pitolo vs Charles “Kid Dynamite” Byrd

Round 1:
Pitolo stunned Byrd with a one-two and a knee early on. Byrd clinched and backed him up against the cage, but Pitolo reversed position and he took Byrd down. Pitolo tried to take Byrd’s back in a scramble, but Byrd wound up on top in Pitolo’s guard. He looked for a guillotine choke, but Pitolo stood up and slammed Byrd down to the mat. Byrd scrambled up and he responded with a slam takedown of his own. Byrd landed on top in side control and he closed out the round by posturing up with right hands. 10-9 Byrd.

Round 2:
Byrd chased after Pitolo with haymaker punches to begin the second round, but Pitolo countered effectively with left hooks to the face and body of Byrd. He tripped an off-balance Byrd to the ground and unloaded with punches and hammerfists as Byrd turtled up. Referee Herb Dean gave Byrd every chance to continue, but he did nothing but cover up as Pitolo blasted him with hammerfists and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Maki Pitolo by TKO (Punches) at 1:10 of round two. He improves to 13-5-0.

 

Alex Perez vs Jussier “Formiga” da Silva

Round 1:
Dan Silva pressed forward early on with right handsuntil Perez countered with a lead left hook. He kicked at da Silva’s lead leg and continued to throw left hands. Both men landed combinations and Perez remained the aggressor. He mixed in more leg kicks and da Silva responded with a knee. Perez attacked with a quick flurry and a leg kick that dropped da Silva. He forced him to stand and both men landed right hands. Perez dropped da Silva with another kick to his left calf and referee Keith Peterson wisely waved off the fight, as da Silva could not continue.

Winner: Alex Perez by TKO (Leg Kick) at 4:06 of round one. He improves to 24-5-0.

 

Devin “Brown Bear” Clark vs Alonzo Menifield

Round 1:
Clark shot in for a takedown right away and the fighters battled in a clinch against the cage, with both landing knees and leg kicks. Menifield hurt Clark with a right hand and followed with more punches. Clark tried to buy time to recover against the fence and Menifield landed knees and overhand rights in close. Clark’s left eye swelled up and Menifield kept the pressure on with clinch strikes. Clark finally broke free and he scored with a knee and a big right hand before attempting a takedown. Menifield stayed up and the round ended with a clinch battle. 10-9 Menifield.

Round 2:
Menifield opened the second round with another right hook and follow-up knees before stuffing a takedown from Clark. Menifield slowed down from round one, however, and Clark was able to land knees and short right hands in the clinch. He punched his way free from the clinch and Menifield responded with two overhand rights. Clark countered a clinch with knees to the body and more short right hands as Menifield held him against the cage. Clark landed two knees to the body and a hard flurry of punches just before the bell. Close round. 10-9 Clark.

Round 3:
The final round began with Menifield landing a flurry before clinching with Clark against the cage. Clark countered with a takedown midway through the round and he briefly held back control on the ground. Menifield rolled over and Clark landed punches to his face as the fight returned to the feet against the cage. Both men landed short punches in a clinch and Menifield scored with a nice overhand right late in the round. Clark fired back with a combination as time expired. 10-9 Clark.

Winner: Devin Clark by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 12-4-0.

 

Herbert “The Blaze” Burns vs Evan Dunham

Round 1:
Dunham scored with a hard left hand early on, but Burns recovered and regained his footing. He secured a takedown into back control and worked for a rear-naked choke. Dunham defended initially, but Burns secured the choke and Dunham tapped out.

Winner: Herbert Burns by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:20 of round one. He improves to 11-2-0.
