Katlyn “Blonde Fighter” Chookagian vs Antonina “Pantera” Shevchenko

Round 1:
Chookagian secured an early takedown into back control against the cage and she worked for a rear-naked choke while Shevchenko desperately tried to break her grip. She defended multiple times, but Chookagian moved to mount and rained down punches and elbows. She trapped Shevchenko’s left arm and punished her with punches from the top as Shevchenko rolled to the side. Chookagian moved to back control once again and she prevented Shevchenko from shaking her off. Shevchenko scrambled once more and managed to get to her feet shortly before the bell, but Chookagian landed more strikes on the way up. 10-8 Chookagian.

Round 2:
Chookagian wasted no time and clinched immediately in the second round. She tripped Shevchenko to the mat and landed on top in mount. She landed short punches and looked to set up an arm-triangle choke, but Shevchenko defended. Chookagian took her back and continued to land punches until Shevchenko rolled over again. Chookagian remained active from the top and she dropped big elbows and punches to Shevchenko’s face. More punches scored for Chookagian before the bell. 10-8 Chookagian.

Round 3:
The final round began with an exchange of strikes on the feet and Chookagian was content to stand with Shevchenko despite her dominance on the ground in the opening rounds. Shevchenko landed an axe kick and a combination, but Chookagian cracked her with a counter left hook. She clinched with Shevchenko against the cage and both women landed knees. Shevchenko broke free and Chookagian landed a body kick. She clinched and tripped Shevchenko to the mat, then mounted her and closed out the round with punches from the top. 10-9 Chookagian.

Winner: Katlyn Chookagian by Unanimous Decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-25) after three rounds. She improves to 14-3-0.

 

Daniel “D-Rod” Rodriguez vs “Gifted” Gabriel Green

Round 1:
Rodriguez countered Green’s early aggression with jabs and one-twos. Green began to throw kicks in return and he grazed with a head kick. Rodriguez scored with a hard one-two and Green responded with more kicks. Both men landed punches in an exchange and Green kicked to the body. Rodriguez continued to land jabs at will and Green stuck to body kicks. Rodriguez landed a hard leg kick before the end of the competitive round. 10-9 Rodriguez.

Round 2:
The second round began with Rodriguez landing a combination and he kept the pressure on Green after catching a body kick. Rodriguez unloaded with heavy left hooks, but Green walked right through them and he tried to set up combinations of his own. Rodriguez continued to land left hooks until Green jumped in with a knee to the body. A brief clinch followed and Green threw two glancing head kicks after the break. Green kicked to the body and Rodriguez responded with a big flurry. Green continued to move forward and both men landed combinations before the bell. 10-9 Rodriguez.

Round 3:
Green was aggressive with his strikes to open the final round and he kept Rodriguez on the defensive with combinations and body kicks. Rodriguez eventually landed left hooks in return and the fighters traded flurries as a cut opened on Green’s cheek. Green maintained a fast pace and he backed Rodriguez up momentarily with looping punches. Rodriguez fired back with a huge one-two as Green’s right eye swelled shut. Green continued to walk Rodriguez down and he jumped in with a flying switch knee. Rodriguez countered Green’s aggression with left hooks and a takedown into North-South position late in the close round. 10-9 Rodriguez.

Winner: Daniel Rodriguez by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 12-1-0.

 

Jamahal “Sweet Dreams” Hill vs Klidson “White Bear” Abreu

Round 1:
Hill dropped Abreu with an early one-two and he followed with a knee after Abreu got back to his feet. Abreu recovered and threw leg kicks as Hill jabbed from a distance. Hill landed a left cross and a knee to the chest that dropped Abreu and he followed with punches on the ground until the fight was stopped.

Winner: Jamahal Hill by TKO (Knee To The Body & Punches) at 1:51 of round one. He improves to 8-0-0.

 

Brandon “Raw Dawg” Royval vs Tim Elliott

Round 1:
Elliott caught a kick and immediately took Royval down in the opening seconds. He landed punches and worked for a power guillotine choke as Royval scrambled up to his feet. Elliott pinned him against the cage and Royval countered with a rolling kimura attempt. Elliott escaped and the fighters stood up. Elliott got Royval down into a partial back control again and he landed more punches before Royval stood up. He broke free and stuffed a takedown attempt, but Elliott landed a side kick to the body. He punched his way into a clinch and took Royval down, but a scramble followed and Royval briefly held top position. Late in the round, Royval reversed a takedown and rolled into an armbar attempt before the bell. 10-9 Elliott.

Round 2:
Royval stuffed a takedown in round two and he took top position. Elliott scrambled and Royval attempted a guillotine choke, but Elliott escaped and he nriefly threatened with a shoulder choke from the top. The fighters stood and Elliott countered a spinning elbow with a takedown into a rolling guillotine choke. Royval broke free and he mounted an exhausted Elliott before transitioning to an arm-triangle choke. Within seconds, Elliott tapped out.

Winner: Brandon Royval by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 3:18 of round two. He improves to 11-4-0.

 

Casey Kenney vs Louis “Da Last Samurai” Smolka

Round 1:
Kenney struck first with a leg kick and a left hand to the body. Smolka responded with a series of body shots in return, but Kenney kept the pressure on with kick-punch combos. He dropped Smolka with a sweeping leg kick, but Smolka stood and the fighters traded quick punches. Kenney targeted Smolka’s face with punches while Smolka continued to attack the body. Seconds later, Kenney hurt Smolka with a counter right hook and he countered a Smolka takedown attempt with a tight guillotine choke from the top. Smolka had nowhere to go and tapped out.

Winner: Casey Kenney by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 3:03 of round one. He improves to 14-2-1.

 

Chris “El Guapo” Gutierrez vs Vince “Vandetta” Morales

Round 1:
Gutierrez opened the action with two leg kicks and he stunned Morales with a counter left hand. More leg kicks and a body kick scored for Gutierrez and he followed with a combination. Morales was unable to land anything and Gutierrez punished him with leg kicks and head kicks. Morales finally connected with a counter right hook, but it did not slow down Gutierrez’s offence and he knocked Morales down with a leg kick late in the round. 10-9 Gutierrez, if not a 10-8.

Round 2:
Gutierrez continued to attack with leg kicks in the second round and he hurt Gutierrez’s right leg after targeting the left throughout round one. Morales nearly fell down and Gutierrez continued to assault him with kicks. Morales eventually stumbled against the cage and Gutierrez landed hammerfists on the ground before Morales got back to his feet. A final leg kick dropped Morales and the lopsided fight was finally stopped.

Winner: Chris Gutierrez by TKO (Leg Kick) at 4:27 of round two. He improves to 15-4-1.
