Brandon “The Assassin Baby” Moreno vs Jussier “Formiga” da Silva

Round 1:
Da Silva jumped into a standing guillotine choke after an early slip from Moreno, but Moreno escaped and he worked from top position in Da Silva’s guard. Da Silva was active off of his back and he tried for an armbar and an omoplata. Moreno escaped and he resumed punching from the top, but da Silva secured a sweep soon after and he wound up on top in Moreno’s half-guard. The fighters were bizarrely stood up almost immediately and da Silva threw a spinning back kick. Moreno slammed him down and landed punches as da Silva rose to his feet. 10-9 Moreno.

Round 2:
Both men scored with punches early in round two and Moreno followed with a nice combination. Time was called soon after when Moreno was poked in the eye. Action resumed and da Silva took Moreno down. He passed to half-guard and then hopped on Moreno’s back. Moreno slammed da Silva off and wound up on top. Moreno postured up and then moved to half-guard. Da Silva scrambled up and ate a head kick for his efforts. He quickly took Moreno’s back and swept out his left leg. Moreno stood against the cage and da Silva kept him pinned there while landing knees to his thighs. 10-9 da Silva.

Round 3:
Quick punches were exchanged early in the final round and Moreno connected with a hard right hook and an uppercut. He jabbed and followed with a right hand before the fighters briefly clinched. Da Silva took Moreno down into back control, but Moreno rolled through and scrambled up to his feet. Da Silva shot in for another takedown and Moreno countered with a knee. Da Silva still got him down and he took top position in mount. Both men landed short punches on the ground and Da Silva maintained mount until the final bell. 10-9 Moreno.

Winner: Brandon Moreno by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 17-5-1.

 

Amanda Ribas vs Randa “Quiet Storm” Markos

Round 1:
Markos opened the action with a one-two and Ribas responded with a leg kick and a combination. Markos slipped while throwing a kick and Ribas took top position in her guard. She punched to the body and threw short elbows to Markos’s face. Ribas passed to half-guard and then to mount, but Markos scrambled out and worked back to her feet. The fighters separated and Markos landed a stiff jab. Ribas backed her up with two spinning back kicks to the liver and she took Markos down again. From the top in half-guard, Ribas landed hard elbow strikes until Markos stood up just before the bell. 10-9 Ribas.

Round 2:
Ribas remained the aggressor in the second round and she partially landed with a spinning back kick. Both women landed right hands and Ribas followed with a jab-cross combo. She punched her way into a clinch with Markos against the cage, but Markos broke free and both women landed power punches. Ribas landed another spinning back kick to the liver and she tried for a takedown. Markos stayed up and Ribas threw knees to her thighs. A hard elbow landed for Markos over the top and Ribas responded with a spinning backfist. The round ended with both women landing punches in a spirited exchange. 10-9 Ribas.

Round 3:
Markos secured a takedown in the opening minute of round three and Ribas immediately countered with an armbar attempt. Markos escaped and she worked from the top in Ribas’s guard until Ribas kicked her off. A scramble followed and Ribas fought off a heel hook attempt before taking top position in Markos’s half-guard. She wrenched back on a keylock on Markos’s left arm, then let it go and switched to an arm-triangle choke. Markos defended well and she managed to escape, but Ribas maintained top position and she landed more hammerfists and elbows. Ribas postured up with harder punches and elbows in the final seconds, but Markos held on until the bell. 10-9 Ribas.

Winner: Amanda Ribas by Unanimous Decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-26) after three rounds. She improves to 9-1-0.

 

Elizeu “Capoeira” Zaleski dos Santos vs Alexey Kunchenko

Round 1:
After exchanging kicks early on, dos Santos connected with a nice one-two and Kunchenko immediately fired back with a combination of his own. Dos Santos remained the aggressor and he mixed up his strikes with leg and body kicks and quick punches. Dos Santos clinched with Kunchenko and held him against the cage while landing knees. Kunchenko punched to the body in return and the fighters were separated. Kunchenko landed a two-punch combo before the bell. 10-9 dos Santos.

Round 2:
Time was called almost immediately in round two when Kunchenko was kicked in the groin. Action resumed and dos Santos attempted a rolling kneebar after a brief clinch. Kunchenko escaped to his feet and he scored with a hard right hand. A three-punch combo also landed for Kunchenko and dos Santos backed up. Seconds later, dos Santos shot in for a takedown and Kunchenko cracked him with an uppercut. A clinch followed and the fighters were quickly separated. Both men landed heavy punches and Kunchenko remained the aggressor. He avoided a spinning hook kick from dos Santos and responded with two hooks. The fighters traded kicks late in the round and Kunchenko missed with a spinning hook kick. 10-9 Kunchenko.

Round 3:
Both men landed leg and body kicks in the opening minute of the final round. Kunchenko threw one-two combos and dos Santos continued to score with leg kicks. Kunchenko landed three kicks of his own and he followed with another one to the body. Power punches were exchanged and Kunchenko landed a hard right hand on the break. With 90 seconds to go, Kunchenko missed with a spinning backfist and he clinched with dos Santos against the cage. Dos Santos broke free and Kunchenko walked forward with leg kicks. Dos Santos took him down with 30 seconds remaining and he kicked at Kunchenko’s body before the final bell. Very close round. 10-9 Kunchenko by a slim margin.

Winner: Elizeu dos Santos by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 22-6-0.

 

Enrique “El Fuerte” Barzola vs Rani Yahya

Round 1:
Yahya unsuccessfully tried to pull guard early in the fight, but he got Barzola down into back control soon after. Barzola scrambled free and stood up, but Yahya landed a right hand and shot in for another takedown. Barzola prevented Yahya from taking his back as the fighters scrambled on the ground. Barzola threw hammerfists to Yahya’s body and Yahya initiated another scramble that led to him taking Barzola’s back. He kept him pinned down until the bell. 10-9 Yahya.

Round 2:
Yahya took the fight back down to the mat in round two and he transitioned from Barzola’s half-guard to back control as Barzola tried to get back to his feet against the cage. Yahya continued to pressure Barzola with short punches to the face throughout the ground battle while preventing him from standing up. With 80 seconds to go, Barzola scrambled free and stood up, then slammed Yahya down. Barzola worked from Yahya’s half-guard momentarily and Yahya escaped to his feet. A hard combination landed for Barzola late in the close round. 10-9 Yahya.

Round 3:
Barzola stuffed a takedown and took top position in the final round. He cut Yahya along the hairline with punches and hammerfists, then moved to side control. More punches scored for Barzola and he prevented Yahya from getting back to his feet. Yahya scrambled once more and Barzola maintained top position. He continued to score with punches and hammerfists, then wrenched back on Yahya’s right leg in a kneebar. Yahya stayed calm and escaped, but Barzola struck from the top and briefly looked for an Anaconda choke. He closed out the round with elbows to Yahya’s body. 10-8 Barzola.

Result: Majority Draw (29-28 [Barzola], 28-28, 28-28) after three rounds. Barzola moves to 16-5-2, while Yahya is now 26-10-1, 1 NC.

 

Maryna “The Iron Woman” Moroz vs Mayra “Sheetara” Bueno Silva

Round 1:
Moroz punched her way into a clinch and Silva countered with a hard knee strike early on. Moroz jabbed and Silva targeted her lead leg with kicks. Moroz mixed up her strikes with jab-kick combos, and she countered Silva’s leg kicks with some of her own. Silva landed a spinning backfist and followed with a head kick, but Moroz caught it and she took Silva down. She targeted Silva’s body with elbow strikes and postured up with punches to her face. This continued with Moroz on top until the bell. 10-9 Moroz.

Round 2:
Silva pressed forward with punches and leg kicks in the second round, but Moroz countered with jabs and hooks before the fighters clinched against the cage. Silva briefly took Moroz’s back, but Moroz broke free and the fighters traded one-twos. Silva followed with right hands and knees as she clinched with Moroz against the cage. Moroz countered with a takedown and she worked from the top in Silva’s guard. Moroz passed to half-guard and landed short elbow strikes before posturing up with harder punches. In the final minute, Moroz landed numerous punches and elbows from the top while Silva did little more but hold on. 10-9 Moroz.

Round 3:
The final round began with an exchange of quick body kicks and Moroz mixed in one-two combos to Silva’s face. She continued to mix up her strikes and looked to take Silva down, but Silva stuffed it. Two knees to the body landed for Silva and she followed with two huge right hands. Silva backed Moroz up with a leg kick and Moroz tried unsuccessfully for a takedown. Big punches scored for Silva and she fought off another takedown attempt. Silva remained in control of the action and she walked Moroz down with punches until Moroz fired back with a spinning backfist. The fighters clinched and Silva cut Moroz on the forehead with a knee. Moroz fired back with punches and Silva landed a hard front kick to the body. 10-9 Silva. Close to a 10-8.

Winner: Maryna Moroz by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 10-3-0.

 

David “The Undertaker” Dvořák vs Bruno “Bulldog” Silva

Round 1:
Dvořák caught a kick and landed right hands in the opening minute and both men threw overhand rights soon after. Silva fired back with a front kick and a spinning backfist and tried for a takedown soon after. Dvořák stuffed it and landed a left hook and a body kick. He avoided another Silva takedown attempt, but Silva connected with a right hook and he rocked Dvořák with a front kick to the face. Silva took Dvořák down and he landed punches from the top. 10-9 Silva.

Round 2:
Both men landed combinations in the second round and Dvořák chased after Silva with a lunging one-two. Silva missed with a wild spinning backfist, but he caught a body kick from Dvořák and took him down. Dvořák reversed position and he worked from the top in Silva’s half-guard. Silva exploded up to his feet and Dvořák landed a right hand and a grazing flying knee. Silva clinched with him and backed him up to the cage. 10-9 Dvořák.

Round 3:
After an exchange of strikes in round three, Silva took Dvořák’s back and dragged him down to the mat. Dvořák scrambled free and stood up, and he landed knees that stunned Silva. Dvořák followed with a right hand and Silva answered with a body kick. Dvořák pressed forward with more knees and he kept Silva backing up with a mix of knees and right hands. Two big punches landed for Dvořák and he stuffed a takedown attempt. Dvořák nearly secured a takedown of his own, but Silva stayed on his feet and the fight ended with Silva throwing punches and Dvořák countering with knees. 10-9 Dvořák.

Bea “Bad News Barbie” Malecki vs Veronica Macedo

Round 1:
Malecki used her reach advantage to land one-twos early on and Macedo countered nicely with combinations and overhand rights while circling to the side. Macedo continued to score with effective counterpunches until Malecki knocked her down with a counter kick to the body. Macedo quickly stood up and landed a right hand as Malecki jabbed. The fighters continued to trade punches and Macedo countered a Malecki front kick with a right hook. A combination landed for Macedo and Malecki walked her down with punches until the bell. 10-9 Macedo.

Round 2:
Macedo caught a kick and punched her way into a clinch before trying to pull guard in round two. Malecki stayed on her feet and kicked at Macedo’s legs until Macedo was stood up. Malecki landed body kicks and jabs as Macedo slowed down, but Macedo still fired back with overhand punches. Malecki closed the distance with knees and she reversed a takedown attempt into mount. Malecki struck from the top and Macedo scrambled out the back. The fighters were stood up and Malecki landed punches before stuffing a takedown. She moved to side control and moved punches before standing up and landing a hard right hand to the face of an exhausted Macedo. The fight was brought back to the feet again and Macedo landed an uppercut. She followed with a sloppy shot that Malecki easily stuffed and Malecki landed punches late in the round. 10-9 Malecki.

Round 3:
A front kick to the face scored for Malecki early in the final round and she avoided Macedo’s takedown attempts. Both women landed knees and a badly fatigued Macedo dove for a desperation takedown. Malecki punched from the top in side control until Macedo got back to her knees and stood up. She threw a one-two and Malecki responded with another front kick. She stuffed another takedown but ate an overhand right from Macedo. More wild punches were thrown by Macedo, with varying degrees of success, and she followed up on a four-punch combo by taking Malecki down. Malecki stood back up and she closed out the round with knees to the chest in a clinch. Back-and-forth round. 10-9 Malecki.
