Tim “The Dirty Bird” Means vs Thiago “Pitbull” Alves

Round 1:
Means struck first with a right hand and Alves fired back with a hard body kick. He stuffed a takedown attempt and stunned Means with a counter one-two. The fighters traded punches and Means tried again for a takedown against the cage. Alves fought him off, but Means landed a spinning back elbow and two punches. Seconds later, Means floored Alves with a straight left hand. Alves turtled against the base of the cage and Means landed more punches before securing a tight guillotine choke that forced a seated Alves to submit.

Winner: Tim Means by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 2:38 of round one. He improves to 29-11-1, 1 NC.

 

Billy Quarantillo vs Jacob “The Killer” Kilburn

Round 1:
Quarantillo clinched and backed Kilburn up against the cage early on. Kilburn reversed the clinch, but Quarantillo locked on a guillotine choke and he pulled guard. Quarantillo switched to a modified rolling Brabo choke and Kilburn had to act quickly to escape. Quarantillo moved to mount and rained down punches and elbows before taking Kilburn’s back. He switched to mount again and battered Kilburn with more punches and elbows. Kilburn tried to scramble free and Quarantillo prevented him from doing so. Kilburn escaped from two rear-naked chokes late in the round and made it to the bell. 10-8 Quarantillo.

Round 2:
Kilburn opened the second round with a body kick, but Quarantillo caught it and took him down into side control. He mounted Kilburn and battered him with hammerfists and elbows before locking on an arm-triangle choke. Kilburn rolled and gave up his back, which allowed Quarantillo to work again for a rear-naked choke. He switched to an armbar and finally to a triangle choke after landing hammerfists to Kilburn’s face. Kilburn could not escape and finally tapped out.

Winner: Billy Quarantillo by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 3:18 of round two. He improves to 13-2-0.

 

Bryce “Thug Nasty” Mitchell vs Matt “Robo” Sayles

Round 1:
Sayles missed with a winging right hand to begin the fight and Mitchell wasted no time in taking him down. He used punches to set up a move to mount and continued to pepper Sayles with short right hands. Mitchell looked to set up submissions including an arm-triangle choke, but Sayles defended well. Mitchell took his back in the final 90 seconds and switched to another arm-triangle choke attempt. Mitchell took Sayles’s back again and began to set up a Twister. He torqued on Sayles’s neck to complete the hold and Sayles tapped out.

Winner: Bryce Mitchell by Submission (Twister) at 4:20 of round one. He improves to 12-0-0.

 

Joe Solecki vs “Handsome” Matt Wiman

Round 1:
Wiman landed two leg kicks and a right hook in the opening seconds, but Solecki took him down and he used short punches to set up a move to half-guard. A series of left hands landed for Solecki and he looked to move to mount. Wiman retained half-guard, but Solecki continued to punish him with punches from the top. Solecki took Wiman’s back in a scramble and landed more punches before attempting a rear-naked choke. Wiman fought the hands and Solecki gave up on the choke. He postured up with punches and elbows and continued to batter Wiman until the bell. 10-8 Solecki.

Round 2:
The second round began with Wiman landing another combination and Solecki promptly took him down. Solecki postured up with punches and maintained top position until referee Fernando Yamasaki stood the fighters up for no reason. After an exchange of punches on the feet, Solecki took Wiman back down and he kept him there until the bell. 10-9 Solecki.

Round 3:
Wiman opened the final round with a nice right hand, but Solecki countered with punches to the body and a takedown. He worked to move from half-guard to mount, but Wiman defended well and kept him trapped in place. Solecki landed punches and an elbow, and he passed to side control in the final two minutes. Solecki looked to move to mount and he settled for back control after softening Wiman up with punches from the top. Wiman scrambled in the final 15 seconds and closed out the round on top. 10-9 Solecki. Could be another 10-8.

Winner: Joe Solecki by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-26, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 9-2-0.

 

Virna “Carcará” Jandiroba vs Mallory Martin

Round 1:
Martin pressed forward with punches right away and she countered a Jandiroba takedown with a guillotine choke. Jandiroba escaped once and Martin secured a second guillotine. Jandiroba escaped into side control and locked on an arm-triangle choke. Martin refused to submit and she managed to scramble free against the cage. The fighters stood and Martin clinched after landing a one-two and a knee. Jandiroba countered with a trip attempt and standing knees to the body. She took Martin down and once again found herself trapped in a guillotine choke. Jandiroba freed herself and maintained top position until the bell. 10-9 Jandiroba.

Round 2:
Jandiroba took Martin down into side control early in the second round and she transitioned to back control almost immediately. Jandiroba worked for a rear-naked choke and Martin did her best to break Jandiroba’s grip. Jandiroba tightened the choke and Martin was forced to submit.

Winner: Virna Jandiroba by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:16 of round two. He improves to 15-1-0.

 

Makhmud “Mach” Muradov vs Trevor “Hot Sauce” Smith

Round 1:
Muradov established his jab right away and he landed at will until Smith inadvertently kicked him in the groin. Action resumed and Muradov landed a counter right hand and more jabs. Muradov continued to mix up his punches and he landed a nice overhand right after setting it up with jabs. Both men landed body kicks and Smith lunged in with a left hook. Muradov responded with a flying switch kick to the jaw just before the bell. 10-9 Muradov.

Round 2:
The second round began with Muradov landing right hands to the body and head, but Smith fired back with his best punch of the fight and briefly stunned Muradov with an overhand right. Muradov recovered quickly and he landed right hooks and body kicks. Muradov landed more jabs and one-twos in the second half of the round. He fought off a clinch attempt with a knee and backed Smith up with right hands to the body. Muradov caught a kick and tripped Smith to the mat, then locked on a tight rear-naked choke but time expired. 10-9 Muradov.

Round 3:
Smith opened the final round with a combination, but Muradov stuck to his jab and he used it to set up right hands. Smith missed with wild punches and Muradov stunned him with an overhand right. He followed with more punches and Smith circled away. A lead left uppercut landed for Muradov and he followed with a right hand to the body. In the final minute, Muradov landed a right hook to the body and ducked under a counter hook from Smith. A massive right hook landed for Muradov and an unconscious Smith crashed to the canvas.

Winner: Makhmud Muradov by KO (Punch) at 4:09 of round three. He improves to 24-6-0.
