Corey “Overtime” Anderson vs Johnny Walker

Round 1:
Walker landed an early leg kick and Anderson responded by clinching in search of a takedown. Walker stuffed it, but Anderson dropped him with a three-punch flurry soon after. Anderson landed more punches as Walker battled back to his feet. Walker clinched and Anderson hurt him again with uppercuts. A wobbly Walker stumbled backwards against the cage and Anderson landed more punches including a big right hook before the fight was stopped. Huge win for Anderson.

Winner: Corey Anderson by TKO (Punches) at 2:07 of round one. He improves to 13-4-0.

 

“Hurricane” Shane Burgos vs Makwan “Mr. Finland” Amirkhani

Round 1:
Amirkhani opened a cut above Burgos’s left eye almost immediately with punches and he took him down against the base of the cage. Burgos stood and Amirkhani took his back before dragging him back down. Each time Burgos got back to his feet, Amirkhani took him down and he locked on an arm-in guillotine choke. Burgos eventually scrambled free and the fight returned to the feet. Burgos stuffed a takedown and Amirkhani slowed way down. He tried for another sloppy takedown and Burgos easily avoided it. Burgos landed a right hand after avoiding a jumping knee from Amirkhani late in the round. 10-9 Amirkhani.

Round 2:
Burgos walked Amirkahni down in round two and Amirkhani countered with jabs. Burgos flurried to the body and head, but Amirkhani dragged him down. Burgos stood back up and he reversed a second Amirkhani takedown attempt. Burgos targeted the body with a knee and a kick as Amirkhani continued to slow down. Burgos wound up on top and he landed a hard hammerfist to Amirkhani’s face. The round ended with Burgos landing elbows and punches. 10-9 Burgos.

Round 3:
Burgos hurt Amirkhani with a left hook early in the final round and he dropped him with follow-up punches. Amirkhani turtled on the ground and Burgos scored with punches and hammerfists. Burgos stood and forced Amirkhani to follow. Burgos landed a hard right hand and stuffed a takedown. The fighters traded looping punches and Amirkhani shot in for another takedown attempt. Burgos punished him with elbows to the temple and Amirkhani rolled to his back. Burgos trapped him in a top-side crucifix and landed right hands to the body, then stood up. Burgos punched to the body while easily avoiding Amirkhani’s clinch attempts. Burgos landed three punches to Amirkhani’s body and head, which dropped Amirkhani and ended the fight.

Winner: Shane Burgos by TKO (Punches) at 4:32 of round three. He improves to 13-1-0.

 

Edmen “The Golden Boy” Shahbazyan vs Brad Tavares

Round 1:
Tavares landed a one-two and a body kick early in the fight and the fighters continued to trade punches until Shahbazyan dropped Tavares with a right cross. Tavares stood and Shahbazyan swarmed on him with punches, a head kick and a knee. A final head kick sent Tavares crashing to the mat and the fight was stopped.

Winner: Edmen Shahbazyan by KO (Head Kick) at 2:27 of round one. He improves to 11-0-0.

 

Jairzinho “Bigi Boy” Rozenstruik vs Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski

Round 1:
Rozenstruik knocked Arlovski off-balance with an early jab and he followed with a flurry of punches, but Arlovski recovered and fired back with a flurry of his own. Seconds later, Arlovski threw a lunging one-two and Rozenstruik dropped him face-first with a counter left hook.

Winner: Jairzinho Rozenstruik by KO (Punch) at 0:29 of round one. He improves to 9-0-0.

 

Katlyn “Blonde Fighter” Chookagian vs Jennifer Maia

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of punches and Chookagian scored with a three-punch flurry. Maia pressed forward with leg kicks and jabs that were met by lead left hooks from Chookagian. Both women landed left hands and Maia initiated a clinch. She was unable to take Chookagian down, but landed a right hand on the break. Chookagian landed a nice combination and a side kick to the face. She followed with a head kick that was partially blocked and both women landed punches late in the round. Chookagian stunned Maia with a counter right hook before the bell. 10-9 Chookagian.

Round 2:
Chookagian landed more quick punches in round two while avoiding most of Maia’s counters. A head kick and a hard right hand landed for Chookagian, but Maia continued to press forward. Chookagian landed a counter right hook and she snapped Maia’s head back with a leg kick. Right hands were exchanged and Chookagian followed with another leg kick. She stayed just outside of range of Maia’s punches and countered a one-two from Maia with a leg kick and a flurry. A hard right cross scored for Chookagian late in the round and she tried unsuccessfully for a takedown before time expired. 10-9 Chookagian.

Round 3:
Chookagian opened round three with leg kicks and Maia responded by clinching with her against the cage. Chookagian broke free and landed a body kick as Maia walked forward with lunging punches. An overhand right scored for Maia and she continued to chase after Chookagian. Maia countered a leg kick with a body kick and a left hook. Chookagian fired back with a head kick that was partially blocked and a right cross that landed cleanly. Chookagian threw another head kick and Maia responded by taking her down. Chookagian tied her up until the final ten seconds when Maia landed punches and Chookagian countered with a heel hook. Close final round. 10-9 Maia.

Winner: Katlyn Chookagian by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 13-2-0.

 

Lyman “Cyborg” Good vs Chance “Black Eagle” Rencountre

Round 1:
Good struck first with a hard right hook and he landed more right hands soon after while countering Rencountre’s kicks. Good continued to land right hooks and flurries while ducking under most of Rencountre’s strikes. Rencountre clinched and tried for a takedown, but Good stayed on his feet and landed a head kick, knees and punches. He followed with two uppercuts and a series of lunging punches as Rencountre retreated. Rencountre landed a late one-two and ate a head kick before the bell. 10-9 Good.

Round 2:
Rencountre opened the second round with a one-two and he jumped in with a knee, but Good countered with a hard combination that backed him up. Good landed another flurry of punches and he followed with stiff jabs that kept Rencountre at bay. As the round progressed, Good continued to land jabs until Rencountre fired back with a body kick and two punches. In the final 40 seconds, Rencountre landed a left hand and Good responded with two right hooks before time expired. 10-9 Good.

Round 3:
In the final round, Rencountre continued to lunge in with punches, but Good ducked under most of them and he countered with a flurry. A hard right hand also landed for Good and a bloodied Rencountre retreated. Seconds later, Good threw a head kick that was blocked and he immediately followed with a right hook that sent Rencountre crashing to the canvas. Good landed two more punches before the fight was stopped.

Winner: Lyman Good by TKO (Punches) at 2:03 of round three. He improves to 21-5-0, 1 NC.

 

“Mean” Hakeem Dawodu vs Julio Arce

Round 1:
Dawodu hurt Arce with an early leg kick and he kept him on the defensive against the cage with knees to the body. The fighters eventually separated and Arce landed a head kick, but Dawodu immediately countered with a leg kick and a right hand. Arce backed him up with a left hook but Dawodu recovered and fired back with a nice right hand. The fighters continued to trade strikes and Dawodu landed two leg kicks and a one-two. The round ended with both men landing knees to the body in a clinch. 10-9 Dawodu.

Round 2:
Left hooks were exchanged in round two and Dawodu landed a leg kick before the fighters traded more looping punches. Both men jabbed and Dawodu scored with a right hand. A brief clinch followed and the fighters traded knees before separating. Arce tripped Dawodu to the mat and he took Dawodu’s back in a scramble. Dawodu turned into Arce’s guard and stood up, then kicked at a downed Arce’s legs. Arce returned to his feet and Dawodu landed a leg kick late in the close round. 10-9 Arce.

Round 3:
Dawodu backed Arce up against the cage to begin the final round. The fighters soon separated and Dawodu landed a leg kick and a combination. A clinch followed and both men landed knees to the body, with Dawodu mixing in short uppercuts. He kicked to the body after a brief separation from the clinch and Arce backed him up against the fence. Dawodu mixed up his strikes well with body kicks, knees and right hands while Arce maintained a boxing-centred strategy of counters. Both men landed knees and Arce scored with three left hands before the bell. Another close round. 10-9 Dawodu.

Winner: Hakeem Dawodu by Split Decision (29-28, 29-28, 28-29) after three rounds. He improves to 11-1-1.
