José Alberto “El Teco” Quiñonez vs Carlos “Perro Malo” Huachin

Round 1:
Quiñonez dropped Huachin with a right hand early in the first round, but Huachin recovered on the ground and attempted a heel hook before the fighters returned to their feet. Both men landed hooks and Quiñonez followed with a sweeping leg kick. Huachin connected with a solid left hook and he followed with a kick-punch combo. Quiñonez knocked him off-balance with a leg kick, but Huachin regained his footing and landed a lunging one-two. Both men landed hooks and Quiñonez connected with a head kick late in the round. 10-9 Quiñonez.

Round 2:
Huachin pressed forward in round two and Quiñonez countered with leg kicks. Both men landed jabs and Quiñonez took Huachin down into half-guard. Quiñonez postured up with punches and elbows, but Huachin got back to full guard and he scrambled up to his feet soon after. Huachin lunged in with a right hook and followed with a left soon after. Quiñonez attempted a head kick and he closed out the round with jabs while circling away. 10-9 Quiñonez.

Round 3:
Quiñonez took Huachin down again in the final round and he landed a series of short punches and elbows from Huachin’s half-guard. Huachin eventually scrambled up to his feet and the fighters traded lead right hooks. In the final minute, Huachin complained of an eye poke, but the fight continued with Quiñonez landing punches. Huachin responded with a flurry and a lunging left hook before the gell. 10-9 Quiñonez.

Winner: José Alberto Quiñonez by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 8-3-0.

 

Kyle “The Monster” Nelson vs Marco Polo “El Toro” Reyes

Round 1:
After an exchange of kicks and punches, Nelson clinched with Reyes againstt he cage. He scored with a standing elbow and rocked Reyes with a looping overhand right. Reyes wilted against the cage and Nelson unloaded with punches until the brief bout was stopped.

Winner: Kyle Nelson by TKO (Punches) at of round one. He improves to 13-3-0.

 

Angela “Overkill” Hill vs Ariane “Sorriso” Carnelossi

Round 1:
Hill landed three counter right hooks as Carnelossi closed the distance early on and the fighters briefly clinched. Hill threw knees in close, but Carnelossi maintained a clinch against the cage and she worked for a takedown. Hill broke free and circled away as Carnelossi walked her down. A hard right hand landed for Hill and the fighters clinched, with Hill holding Carnelossi against the cage. She followed with two knees to the body and backed away. Hill countered Carnelossi’s punches with a knee to the face and Carnelossi switched tactics with two leg kicks. The fighters traded punches and Hill scored with a knee to the body and a right hand late in the round. 10-9 Hill.

Round 2:
Carnelossi slowed down in round two and Hill kept her at bay with jabs and combinations. She landed punches in close and Carnelossi responded with a flurry in return. Hill landed hooks to the body and head, but she also slowed down and began to retreat as Carnelossi walked her down with punches. Hill landed three solid punches and a body kick that were met by a leg kick from Carnelossi, who punched her way into a brief clinch. Hill closed out the back-and-forth round with knees to the body and a switch kick before the bell. 10-9 Hill.

Round 3:
Carnelossi pressured Hill with flurries of punches in the final round and Hill was forced to backpedal. She landed a counter knee and an elbow as the round progressed, but Carnelossi continued to press forward. Hill reversed a clinch against the cage and landed a slashing elbow that opened a bad cut above Carnelossi’s left eye. Time was called and the doctor waved off the fight, giving Hill a TKO victory.

Winner: Angela Hill by TKO (Doctor Stoppage) at 1:56 of round three. She improves to 10-7-0.

 

Sergio “The Phenom” Pettis vs Tyson Nam

Round 1:
The fight began with an exchange of jabs and Pettis scored with a leg kick. He followed with a lunging side kick and avoided a Nam clinch attempt. Pettis continued to score with kicks and Nam responded with a left hook. He countered leg kicks from Pettis with a combination and a brief clinch, but Pettis circled free. Pettis jabbed and followed with a grazing spinning back kick late in the round, which set off an exchange of power punches before the bell. 10-9 Pettis.

Round 2:
Nam flurried with punches early in round two and he followed with a leg kick as Pettis jabbed in return. A hard one-two landed for Nam and he continued to press forward. Two lead left hands landed for Nam, but Pettis halted his forward momentum with a knee. The fighters traded punches and Pettis landed a nice combination. He missed with a flashy head kick and fell to the mat, allowing Nam to strike from the top in the final seconds. Close round. 10-9 Pettis.

Round 3:
Pettis opened the final round with a leg kick and a right hand as he circled to the side to avoid Nam’s strikes. As the round progressed, Nam punched his way in close and Pettis responded with a flurry to the head and body. A right hook and a grazing head kick followed from Pettis, who kept Nam at bay with jabs. Nam clinched briefly, but Pettis circled away and Nam landed a right hand on the break. Nam punched to the body and ate a front kick to the face in return. The fighters clinched and traded knees at the bell. 10-9 Pettis.

Winner: Sergio Pettis by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 18-5-0.

 

Paul “Bearjew” Craig vs Vinicius “Mamute” Moreira Castro

Round 1:
Castro tried for a takedown against the cage in the opening seconds and he resorted to pulling guard. Craig landed short punches from the top as Castro tried to set up a triangle choke. The fight returned to the feet and Craig threw Moreira to the mat. Moreira stood and Craig hurt him with two knees. Craig looked for the finish on the ground with punches before taking Castro’s back. He locked on a rear-naked choke and Castro tapped out.

Winner: Paul Craig by Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 3:19 of round one. He improves to 12-4-0.

 

Bethe “Pitbull” Correia vs Sijara “Sarj” Eubanks

Round 1:
Eubanks scored with two hard right hands in the opening minute and she followed with a lead left hook in a brief exchange. Eubanks continued to outstrike Correia with stiff jabs and more right hands. Correia answered with a combination to the head and body, but she was promptly taken down against the base of the cage. From the top in Correia’s half-guard, Eubanks landed short elbows and she postured up with punches soon after. Hard left hands landed for Eubanks throughout the final 30 seconds, but Correia made it to the bell. 10-9 Eubanks, if not a 10-8.

Round 2:
Correia pressed forward with punches in round two and Eubanks responded with body kicks and a right hook. Correia punched her way free of a brief clinch and Eubanks landed another right hand soon after. The fighters exchanged power punches and Correia landed a lead left hook to the liver. A hard overhand right landed for Correia and she nearly reversed a takedown attempt from Eubanks. The fighters battled in a brief clinch and Correia landed jabs after breaking free. Correia landed a right hand and she finished the round with short punches to the body in a clinch. 10-9 Correia.

Round 3:
The pace slowed down somewhat in round three and little transpired until Correia jabbed her way into an exchange of hooks. Correia targeted the body and Eubanks landed two punches over the top. Correia damaged Eubanks’s right eye with jabs and stuffed a takedown attempt. The fighters clinched against the cage and Correia landed more short punches in close. Eubanks broke free and she landed a solid uppercut that led to an exchange of hooks. Correia landed a combination and a leg kick that led to an exchange of hooks. Eubanks connected with a one-two and Correia answered with a right hand. Both women landed power punches late in the close fight. 10-9 Correia.

Winner: Bethe Correia by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. She improves to 11-4-1.

 

Claudio “El Niño” Puelles vs Marcos “Dhalsim” Mariano

Round 1:
Puelles secured a takedown early on and he worked from top position while pinning Mariano against the base of the cage. Puelles eventually attacked with a kimura in a scramble, but Mariano defended and Puelles wound up on the bottom. The referee stood the fighters up almost immediately, but Puelles quickly took Mariano down again. He landed short punches from Mariano’s guard until the bell. 10-9 Puelles.

Round 2:
The second round began with an immediate takedown from Puelles, who moved from side control to mount. Mariano managed to fight his way back to half-guard, but Puelles peppered him with right hands to the face. He continued to land more short punches throughout the round after Mariano regained full guard. In the final seconds of the round, Puelles scored with two hard elbows to Mariano’s face. 10-9 Puelles.

Round 3:
Puelles elevated Mariano into the air and slammed him down to the mat to begin round three. He landed elbows from the top and worked for a kimura from Mariano’s half-guard. Mariano grabbed on to his own shorts in order to defend against the kimura, which Puelles nearly finished from the top in knee-on-belly position. He let go of the kimura and moved to mount, where he looked to secure an arm-triangle choke. Puelles peppered Mariano with punches and elbows until time expired. 10-8 Puelles.

Winner: Claudio Puelles by Unanimous Decision (30-25, 30-25, 30-25) after three rounds. He improves to 9-2-0.
