Ketlen “Fenômeno” Vieira vs Sara McMann

Round 1:
McMann dragged Vieira down to the mat in the opening minute and she struck from the top with elbows as Vieira looked to set up an armbar. McMann postured up with more punches and she avoided another armbar attempt. Vieira began to land elbows from her back, but McMann passed to half-guard and then to mount. She rained down punches from the top until Vieira got her legs in and used them to kick McMann off. She locked on a kneebar, but McMann defended until the bell. 10-9 McMann.

Round 2:
McMann shot in for a single-leg takedown in the second round, but Vieira countered with a series of short punches and elbows to the temple. The fighters battled in the clinch until Vieira secured a trip takedown. She used short hammerfists from the top to set up an arm-triangle choke – typically McMann’s signature submission – from McMann’s half-guard. McMann was unable to escape and she was forced to tap out.

Winner: Ketlen Vieira by Submission (Arm-Triangle Choke) at 4:16 of round two. She improves to 9-0-0.

 

Sarah “Cheesecake” Moras vs Ashlee Evans-Smith

Round 1:
Moras punched her way into an early clinch and tried for a lateral drop, but Evans-Smith reversed it on the way down and she wound up on top in side control. Moras scrambled back to full guard and worked to set up an armbar from her back. She continued to tighten her grip on the hold until she was able to wrench Evans-Smith’s arm back, and Evans-Smith tapped out after her elbow appeared to be dislocated. Big win for Moras.

Winner: Sarah Moras by Submission (Armbar) at 2:51 of round one. She improves to 5-2-0.

 

Rick “The Gladiator” Glenn vs Gavin “The Newfoundland Terror” Tucker

Round 1:
Glenn stunned Tucker with a one-two and tried for a standing rear-naked choke right away, but Tucker spun free and the fighters traded punches and leg kicks. Tucker threw a spinning back kick to the body and he briefly took Glenn’s back. The fighters separated and Tucker maintained a quick pace with combinations of hooks and uppercuts. This continued until Glenn dropped him with a straight left hand, but Tucker recovered and regained his footing. Glenn landed a standing elbow and two body kicks, followed by short hooks before the bell. 10-9 Glenn due to the late rally.

Round 2:
The second round began with Glenn landing a head kick that seemed to anger Tucker, who pressed forward aggressively. Glenn took him down and he cut Tucker below the left eye with punches. Tucker scrambled up to his feet and Glenn picked him apart with punches. He took Tucker down against the cage and landed a knee to the body on the way up. Glenn dragged Tucker down once more and punched from back control. Tucker countered with a heel hook attempt and he scored another takedown after Tucker briefly stood up. He battered Tucker with elbows until the end of the round. 10-9 Glenn.

Round 3:
Glenn kept the pressure on Tucker with punches and knees to the body in round three. Tucker tried for a takedown and Glenn reversed it into top position. He bloodied Tucker with punches and elbows as Tucker tried in vain for a leglock. Tucker turned his back and Glenn punished him with knees to the body and more punches. Tucker crawled and got back to his feet as Glenn threw knees and punches. Tucker staggered away and leaned on the cage, but the referee refused to stop the fight. Glenn landed a final combination and time expired. 10-8 Glenn. Could be a 10-7.

Winner: Rick Glenn by Unanimous Decision (30-24, 30-25, 29-27) after three rounds. He improves to 20-4-1.

 

Alex “The Spartan” White vs Mitch “Danger Zone” Clarke

Round 1:
The fighters battled in the clinch in round one and both men landed knees to the body. White mixed in right hands and Clarke broke free by landing two right hooks to the jaw. White scored with straight lefts and overhand rights until Clarke initiated another clinch. He was unable to trip White to the mat and White landed another combination. Clarke threw head kicks in the final minute and the round ended with another exchange of knees to the body. 10-9 White.

Round 2:
White opened round two with a quick flurry and Clarke tried unsuccessfully for a takedown from a clinch. White badly hurt him with standing elbows and left hands that opened a cut on Clarke’s cheek. White dropped him with a knee to the body, but Clarke returned to his feet seconds later. White scored with a big combination of left and right hooks that wobbled Clarke, and he floored him with a one-two. Clarke stood once more and fought through White’s punches in order to secure a clinch against the cage. White knocked Clarke down with a front kick to the body and finished him off with two final punches on the ground.

Winner: Alex White by TKO (Punches) at 4:36 of round two. He improves to 12-3-0.

 

Undercard Fights:

– Arjan Singh Bhullar defeated Luis Henrique “KLB” Barbosa de Oliveira by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 7-0-0 with the win.

– “Ragin'” Kajan Johnson defeated Adriano Martins by KO (Punch) at 0:49 of round three. He improves to 22-11-1 with the win.
