Cris Cyborg Stops Lina Länsberg In UFC Fight Night 95 Main EventInvicta FC Featherweight Champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino made it two in a row inside the UFC Octagon with another dominant stoppage victory tonight at UFC Fight Night 95 in Brasilia, Brazil. Justino finished Sweden’s Lina “Elbow Princess” Länsberg in the 140-pound catchweight main event.

Justino was in control of tonight’s bout from start to finish, but Länsberg employed a smart strategy and she limited Justino’s damage by keeping the fight in close quarters. Justino threw a bloodied Länsberg to the mat in round two and flurried with ground and pound until the bout was finally stopped.

Justino (17-1-0, 1 ND) backed Länsberg (6-2-0) up with punches right away and she punished the UFC newcomer with knees to the body in a lengthy clinch against the cage. Länsberg tied up Justino’s arms, but Justino still managed to land short right hands and she scored a big takedown into mount later in the round. Länsberg defended very well from the bottom and she scrambled back up to her feet, but Justino bloodied her nose with punches before the end of the round.

Early in round two, Justino swarmed on Länsberg with punching flurries to the face and a series of brutal kicks to the body. The strikes took their toll and Länsberg bled heavily from the nose. Justino slammed her down into side control and rained down punches from the top. Länsberg kicked her off once, but Justino settled into knee-on-belly position and she dropped hammerfists to Länsberg’s face until referee Mario Yamasaki intervened and waved off the fight.

Justino saw a second round for the first time in more than three years tonight, but her string of dominant stoppage wins continued on and she has now finished seven straight opponents. While her future with the UFC is uncertain, Justino said after the fight that she is not concerned with belts and merely wants to put on superfights for her fans.

Winner: Cristiane Justino by TKO (Punches) at 2:29 of round two. She improves to 17-1-0, 1 ND.
