Larissa Pacheco Submits Lizianne Silveira At Jungle Fight 68Unbeaten Jungle Fight Women’s Bantamweight Champion Larissa Moreira Pacheco retained her title with a slick submission victory tonight at Jungle Fight 68 in Pacaembu, São Paulo, Brazil. The 19-year-old forced Lizianne “Uga Uga” Silveira da ConceiƧão to tap out to a third-round triangle choke.

Despite having just two professional fights on her record, Silveira proved to be a formidable challenger for Pacheco tonight and she landed some hard shots on the feet and on the ground. Pacheco stayed calm and countered a sweep in round three by trapping Silveira in the fight-ending triangle.

Pacheco (10-0-0) took advantage of a missed right hook from Silveira (2-1-0) in the opening minute of round one by clinching and pressing her against the cage. She landed knees to the thigh, but Silveira countered with short knees to the midsection before the fighters were separated. Pacheco secured a takedown and transitioned from half-guard to mount. She locked on an armbar, but Silveira managed to powerbomb her way free and she rained down punches. Pacheco rolled for a heel hook and the fighters stood up. Pacheco landed knees and she dropped Silveira with punches just before the bell.

Both women picked up where they left off in round one by trading heavy punches in the second stanza. Pacheco pressed the action with looping hooks, but many came up short of their target. Silveira stood her ground and unloaded with a combination, but Pacheco ducked under the strikes and she dropped Silveira again with a three-punch flurry. Silveira stood and Pacheco kept her on the defensive during the final 90 seconds. Silveira snuck in a knee to the jaw, but Pacheco took her down as time expired.

Pacheco worked for a leg-sweep takedown early in round three, but it was ultimately a body-lock trip that allowed her to get the fight to the mat. She stood and landed hammerfists, then dropped down into side control and passed to mount. Silveira immediately swept into Pacheco’s guard and she began to strike from the top, but Pacheco trapped her in a tight triangle choke. Silveira fell backwards and tapped out at the 2:25 mark of the third round.

With tonight’s win, Pacheco kept her perfect professional record intact and continued her streak of finishes. To date, the highly-touted rising star has yet to see the judges’ scorecards in any of her ten fights. She is 3-0 under the Jungle Fight banner and has her sights set on joining the UFC women’s bantamweight division in the near future.

Winner: Larissa Moreira Pacheco by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 2:25 of round three. She improves to 10-0-0 and remains the Jungle Fight Women’s Bantamweight Champion.
