Michael “Mayday” McDonald vs Brad “One Punch” Pickett

Round 1:
McDonald began the fight with a nice leg kick and he avoided a lunging one-two from Pickett. The fighters traded punches and McDonald badly rocked Pickett. He stayed on his feet, but McDonald swarmed him with precision punches and Pickett finally fell to the mat after a devastating hook. The fight was nearly stopped, but Pickett somehow survived McDonald’s onslaught.

Pickett got back to his feet and McDonald wobbled him again. A big knee and a one-two scored for McDonald, but Pickett weathered the storm and finally began to recover. A head kick and a left hook dropped Pickett again, but he regained his composure and the fight returned to the feet. A leg kick from Pickett was countered by a combination and the fighters teed off again. 10-8 McDonald.

Round 2:
Pickett ate a right hook early in round two, but he fired back with a lengthy combination that included a powerful left hook. Pickett took McDonald down and struck from top position. McDonald locked on a tight triangle choke from the bottom and Pickett stood to try to defend. McDonald pulled him back down and tightened the choke even more to secure the tapout win.

Winner: Michael McDonald by Submission (Triangle Choke) at 3:43 of round two. He improves to 16-2-0.

 

“The Notorious” Conor McGregor vs Max “Blessed” Holloway

Round 1:
McGregor immediately landed a head kick and continued to press the action with more kicks. A left cross and a quick combination landed for McGregor and Holloway responded with a flurry of his own. McGregor threw a jumping switch kick and a one-two in close. McGregor remained aggressive with more switch kicks and a front hook kick. McGregor landed a head kick and Holloway replied with a nice right hook. McGregor stunned Holloway with a left hook and somersaulted into a clinch in the final seconds. 10-9 McGregor.

Round 2:
McGregor continued to throw unorthodox kicks in the second round and Holloway tried to counter with leg kicks and jabs. Straight lefts from McGregor bloodied Holloway’s nose and both fighters landed punches in an exchange. McGregor snuck in an uppercut but ate a left hook counter. He caught a kick and took Holloway down. McGregor postured up and landed an elbow and a left hand. He moved to side control and remained there until the bell. 10-9 McGregor.

Round 3:
Holloway countered kicks from McGregor with a right hook in the final round, but McGregor took him down. McGregor passed to mount, but Holloway swept and the fighters stood. McGregor took Holloway back down and moved to mount again. Holloway rolled to his side and McGregor blasted him with punches. Two big punches scored for McGregor, but Holloway managed to scramble back to his feet and he attempted a head kick. McGregor took him back down and struck from Holloway’s guard. 10-9 McGregor.

Winner: Conor McGregor by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) after three rounds. He improves to 14-2-0.

 

“Super” Steven Siler vs Mike Brown

Round 1:
Brown rushed in with punches in the opening minute, but he let his guard down and Siler dropped him with a counter uppercut. Brown recovered on the ground, but Siler landed a diving right hand that put him out. Two more punches connected on Brown’s chin before referee Yves Lavigne stopped the fight.

Winner: Steven Siler by KO (Punches) at 0:50 of round one. He improves to 23-10-0.

 

Diego “DB” Brandao vs Daniel “The Pit” Pineda

Round 1:
Brandao landed leg kicks and a right hook right away. He stuffed a takedown attempt and scored with a body kick. Brandao rocked Pineda with a hook and he followed with a head kick and a flying knee. Pineda stayed up and the fighters traded big strikes. Brandao landed more right hooks that appeared to stun Pineda again.

A series of left hooks and a winging right landed for Brandao. He rocked Pineda with a flurry and clinched, then dragged Pineda down to the mat. Pineda stood, but not before eating a knee to the body. Kicks were exchanged on the feet and Pineda landed a step-in elbow. He followed with a body kick and a one-two before time expired. 10-9 Brandao.

Round 2:
After an exchange of kicks, Brandao took Pineda down in round two. Pineda used an omoplata attempt to get back to his feet. Brandao took him back down and Pineda worked for a kimura. He used the hold to sweep into mount and immediately began raining down elbows. Pineda continued to batter Brandao with punches until Brandao scrambled back to guard. He attempted a heel hook and Pineda escaped. Pineda struck from the top until the bell. 10-9 Pineda.

Round 3:
Brandao took Pineda down early in the final round, but he could not keep him there for long. The fighters stood and Brandao secured another takedown. Pineda stood against the cage and broke free of a clinch. Both fighters slowed down and attempted sloppy takedowns. Brandao wound up in top position and landed occasional strikes from Pineda’s guard. Pineda stood and was dragged down again. Referee Mario Yamasaki stood the fighters up almost immediately and Pineda landed a hard right hand. 10-9 Brandao.

Winner: Diego Brandao by Unanimous Decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 18-8-0.

 

Manny “The Anvil” Gamburyan vs Cole “Magrinho” Miller

Round 1:
Gamburyan opened the fight with a hard leg kick and Miller jabbed from a distance. He circled and threw front kicks while avoiding Gamburyan’s power punches. Miller landed a nice right hook and a combination. He backed up and caused Gamburyan to miss with his counter shots. Gamburyan picked Miller up and slammed him down near the cage. He scored with two elbows and followed with a knee as Miller stood up. Miller landed two big elbows of his own to the side of Gamburyan’s head as the bell sounded. 10-9 Miller.

Round 2:
Gamburyan countered a right hand from Miller with two solid leg kicks in the second round. Miller landed a knee and Gamburyan tried to take him down. Miller defended and landed short elbows and knees that cut Gamburyan on the top of the head. Gamburyan got him down on his second try and struck from the top. Miller kicked him off and stood up against the fence. Gamburyan landed a right hook and Miller circled away. Miller put together a combination and Gamburyan scored with another leg kick. 10-9 Miller.

Round 3:
Gamburyan began round three with a looping right hook and a leg kick. He ducked to avoid a combination from Miller and connected with another right hook. Miller scored with two knees, but Gamburyan took him down. Gamburyan threw short elbows and punches from Miller’s guard until Miller briefly got to his feet against the cage. Gamburyan slammed Miller down and the fight ended with an exchange of punches on the ground. 10-9 Gamburyan.

Winner: Manny Gamburyan by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28) after three rounds. He improves to 13-7-0.

 

Ovince St. Preux vs “Donnybrook” Cody Donovan

Round 1:
Donovan pressed forward with one-twos early in the fight and St. Preux countered with short left hands. Donovan clinched and landed uppercuts in close. St. Preux stuffed a takedown, but Donovan maintained the clinch and tried again to get the fight to the mat. He got St. Preux down, but St. Preux immediately reversed and struck from the top. A series of left hands knocked Donovan out and the brief bout was stopped.

Winner: Ovince St. Preux by KO (Punches) at 2:07 of round one. He improves to 14-5-0.

 

James “The Texecutioner” Vick vs Ramsey Nijem

Round 1:
Nijem shot in for a takedown right away and Vick sprawled. Nijem briefly got him down, but Vick stood against the cage and locked on a power guillotine choke. Nijem tried to fall backwards and spin to escape the choke, but he could not and was forced to submit.

Winner: James Vick by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 0:58 of round one. He improves to 5-0-0.
