Cummins reversed into half-guard late in the round.

In round three, Cummins caught a kick and took Colarelli down, but had to fight off a triangle choke. She did so and the fighters were stood up. Cummins landed a head kick and took Colarelli back down, then punched until the round concluded. Colarelli used a front headlock to counter a takedown in round four, but Cummins put her on her back and avoided a guillotine choke. Cummins postured up and landed more punches, then defended against a triangle choke.

With the close fight potentially up for grabs, Cummins landed another head kick and scored a takedown in round five. She moved to side control and then to mount. Colarelli gave up her back and Cummins secured a rear-naked choke. Colarelli was forced to submit and relinquished her XFL women’s title.
